Lol I find that kinda funny. Funny that they mention that Karina's Gollum looks like something from the Moomins, because the big, muppet-like Gollum that Julia was enamoured with was drawn by Moomins author/artist Tove Jansson!
Went to the comments to say this but you beat me to it! Anyone that likes cool illustrations should definitely check out Tove Jansson's The Hobbit illustrations, they're super neat!

Repeat with Jacob's and Julia's interruptions. The end result for each of you should be four layers deep and end up kind of resembling what the last person said. Layers because it’ll be funny to look at half a drawing.
Suggestion: Artist A draws a creature, Artist B can't watch the drawing, but is still there for the conversation with the rest of the group. Then Artist B tries to draw what they think was drawn based only on hearing what everyone talked about during the drawing.
Suggestion: “that’s art, baybeeeeee!” Becomes “that’s art baby?” Redraw famous portraits like Mona Lisa, Girl With A Pearl Earring, American Gothic, The Scream etc. but the subjects are now babies.

Come up with odd homynyms to give to one another, or maybe have Tristan make them up? It'd be fun! Request count: 4
EPISODE SPOILERS! Upon second viewing... Does anyone think Beast was originally supposed to be a dragon? Mastiff jaw, lizard legs, salamander body. Like... That's a drake. That's a dragon with its wings clipped (Headcanon: and that's part of why he doesn't go anywhere; maybe he lost them while someone tried to "assist" in shedding)
That makes sense to me, since in the region of the Alps where I come from the Beast is a dragon straight up! I looked up the version Julia used here ("Belle Rose", by Henri Pourrat) and it's from Auvergne, in south-central France
Suggestion: draw yourselves with How To Train Your Dragon dragons, but you pick what dragon the next person has! Ex. Jacob picks out a Gronkle and Julia has to draw herself with it!
Tove Jansson, otherwise known as the creator of Moomin actually illustrated some of the hobbit books and their covers. It’s so cool that Moomin came up coincidentally in this episode! I love Moomin and I love Drawfee!💖💗
Suggestion: JoJo telephone. First person draws a stand user, the next draws a stand, and then the person after them draws that stand's user, and the final person draws the stand
PLEASE draw Twin peaks characters you've never heard of. Some suggestions: The woodsman, a dirty bearded man who asks people for a light and then violently crushes their skulls. The arm, a dancing little person in a red suit who evolves into an electricity tree. Philip Jeffries, an FBI agent who gets too involved with the spirit world and turns into a giant metallic tea kettle. The log lady, an old lady who recieves psychic advice from a log she carries around.
So is this a karma attack on Julia, since whenever she is on a Pokemon drawing episode she *never* draws a Pokemon? Because these were all from flippin' famous books, and everyone kept drawing dang-blasted Pokemon!!
YOU MUST CONTINUE THE BONE GAME! One person chooses an animal skull, a second person chooses an animal skelly, and the third draws an animal with that head and body combined. Without knowing what the animals are. Your bones are on the line, will you accept?

"In the original pokemon book, which is a lot darker in tone." I mean you said it as a joke, but the Pokemon Manga is like infinitely darker than any of the games or tv shows.
Lol, yeah it’s darker, I used to read the manga a lot in middle school. It still had a lot of wholesome stuff in it too though! From what I remember it usually only got dark during the final villain battles though, so over all not too bad! It usually didn’t have much blood!
Would love to see you do this with Stephen King characters. Especially Carrie. She is described in the book looking nothing like any of the movie versions.
Day 6: please draw your Legend of Zelda self-inserts. You can be Hylian, Gerudo, Zora, Goron etc. Also it would be so rad if you could make it a speed draw!
Debatable. Haunter lifted his…soul, or consciousness, or something…out of his body after a falling chandelier knocked him out, but a little later Brock and Misty were begging him to wake up and I gotta think at least Brock would know to check for a pulse. And then when he goes back into his body it doesn’t seem to have been damaged by lack of oxygen, so he must have been breathing. I always thought it was just an out-of-body experience. …Then again none of the kids (Brock included) thought of checking for a pulse a few episodes previously when they were all on that raft and Pidgeotto had just fished Team Rocket out of the ocean…
Suggestion: Since you guys drew yourselves in your favorite anime style last year. How about you draw yourselves in the style of your favorite western cartoon?
Random idea that I had to share: y'know how the original Incredibles DVD came with a bonus disc with a bunch of extra supers listed in the bonus material? Give each other however much information you'd like on them and draw whatever you come up with!

Suggestion: homynym game. Draw another interpretation of a sound; eg: "serial killer" -> "cereal killer" so you could have someone shooting bowls of cereal or the lucky charms guy knifing people. Come up with odd homynyms to give to one another, or maybe have Tristan make them up? It'd be fun! Request count: 4
Look up the dough doe beans! It was a cute one!
EPISODE SPOILERS!
Upon second viewing... Does anyone think Beast was originally supposed to be a dragon? Mastiff jaw, lizard legs, salamander body. Like... That's a drake. That's a dragon with its wings clipped
(Headcanon: and that's part of why he doesn't go anywhere; maybe he lost them while someone tried to "assist" in shedding)
That makes sense to me, since in the region of the Alps where I come from the Beast is a dragon straight up! I looked up the version Julia used here ("Belle Rose", by Henri Pourrat) and it's from Auvergne, in south-central France
jacob- *has everyone ruin his intros*
julia- *ruins her own intros*
“Kingdom-Hearts Undertale DragonBallZGoku, you were named after the bravest media I ever knew.”
I cant get „Pikachu devouring his trainer“ in the style of the Saturn-Painting out of my damn head.
Ash should've listened to the old man he got him from in the Asian Market. Don't feed Pikachu after dark, don't get him wet.
Everybody loves a good 'ol game of telephone

Julia: Isn’t this “Saturn Eating His Son?”
Me: Wasn’t there a game that had that painting everywhere? I should ask Mother.
the SSS reference!
And WHY did we never finish said game? I need more MOTHER content

MOOoooOother!
@@jasonghianuly3393 I mean that game is iconic
You should draw some benders of elements of the periodic table!! Such as Mercury bender, Sulfur bender, or Gold bender.
That'd be cool!
i like this idea!
Yesss
Imagine a helium bender making people's voices high pitched and that's it
The gold bender would be Mike Myers.
PLEASE draw Twin peaks characters you've never heard of. Some suggestions:
The woodsman, a dirty bearded man who asks people for a light and then violently crushes their skulls.
The arm, a dancing little person in a red suit who evolves into an electricity tree.
Philip Jeffries, an FBI agent who gets too involved with the spirit world and turns into a giant metallic tea kettle.
The log lady, an old lady who recieves psychic advice from a log she carries around.
Yes!!! I love Twin Peaks so much. Also I feel like it is important to mention that Philip Jeffries is played by David Bowie.
Good idea
STOP I only watched 3 episodes of Twin Peaks
Suggestion: speedpaint a Bob Ross tutorial using only zoom whiteboard or the most basic version of ms paint
So is this a karma attack on Julia, since whenever she is on a Pokemon drawing episode she *never* draws a Pokemon? Because these were all from flippin' famous books, and everyone kept drawing dang-blasted Pokemon!!
This was just another Pokemon episode they disguised as a book one
Suggestion:
A Fantasia style episode where you listen to classical music and draw what comes to mind please!
I looove this idea
Oh my god. I think we have a winner for the next suggestion. That sounds like such a good idea
Yessssss!
"and then look at this drawing"
"no one should look at this drawing"
"i'm looking directly at it"

Idea: what would musical instruments look like as people?
oh no the oboe
@@Frorten I’m crying 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💀
@@Frorten or worse, the hurdy-gurdy.... oh. Oh god, what have I done..
If this is something you’d like to see, LavenderTowne did a version of this on her channel
this is assuming they know what the instruments look like lol
YOU MUST CONTINUE THE BONE GAME! One person chooses an animal skull, a second person chooses an animal skelly, and the third draws an animal with that head and body combined. Without knowing what the animals are.
Your bones are on the line, will you accept?
This is such a good idea
@@jesseharrington828 I agree, it'd be fun
the way this intro was SO much tamer simply because Julia was hosting... sorry Jacob
Well that’s because Julia wasn’t there to throw it off course
well, Julia is the tamest part of the bunch i would say
Loving the two replies saying exact opposite things
It's because she just rolls with them all messing with her instead of arguing
@@tayloradams3993 ye its like drawfees one time they can get payback at Jacob for all his evil moments on the show since they know he reacts
Knowing now the description of the Beast as lizard-like COMPLETELY changes my view of the story 😂
When I went to Medieval Times, the Green Knight was evil and assassinated the king, and I am just now learning that does not happen at every trip to Medieval Times.
Out of all of the pokemon properties, of course the only one Julia has memory of is the shojou adaptation.
suggestion: draw monster high characters you’ve never heard of
Yes!!
Might I suggest:
Bonita Femur
Gooliope Jellington
Neighthan Rot
Very nice idea!!
Pleaaassseeee
I un-recommend this
Suggestion: listen to a dubbed voice over of famous cartoon characters and draw what you think they look like
Ouuuh this is fun
YES
Love it!!!
@@Everythingbagel196 doesnt an arbok get cut in half in the first ten pages?
Would love to see you do this with Stephen King characters. Especially Carrie. She is described in the book looking nothing like any of the movie versions.
I'm absolutely here for mastif-jawed Chadmander
Day 6: please draw your Legend of Zelda self-inserts. You can be Hylian, Gerudo, Zora, Goron etc. Also it would be so rad if you could make it a speed draw!

“This can’t possibly be that bad”
"I would choose this Pokemon if I saw it gnawing on a bone in the woods." - Karina
Same, tbh.
Karina's commitment to the "We all have them" bit brings me such joy.
Suggestion: draw musical characters as dark souls bosses. Characters like Javert and Elphaba would fit right in to that aesthetic with their stories
Ooooo I’m super into this one
I mean, Jean Valjean would also work as a DS boss to be entirely honest. Especially with the strength and willingness to sacrifice himself.
"Ash dies in the beginning... they changed that in the anime"
No the didn't, he dies in the haunted tower with the ghastley, haunter, and gengar.
I just love people who attempts to add layers of depht into Pokemon 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Julia's theoretical gym leader pokemon team is expanding
Suggestion: Since you guys drew yourselves in your favorite anime style last year. How about you draw yourselves in the style of your favorite western cartoon?
Random idea that I had to share: y'know how the original Incredibles DVD came with a bonus disc with a bunch of extra supers listed in the bonus material? Give each other however much information you'd like on them and draw whatever you come up with!
god damn nathan that pose!!! the way you did that without reference is amazing to me. i love the line variation on the render as well!!
alternative title "artists draw story book characters into pokemon"
the concept of this video, the directions everyone went, and the fact that julia was hosting was all so brilliant
julia isnt a pokemon person and struggles quite abit in the pokemon vieos, shes more literately inclined
but of course everyone goes in the direction of pokemon when julia pulls out the books
On the Wikipedia for Karina’s tokay lizards, it says that US soldiers during the Vietnam War called them “fuck you lizards” because of their call
Nice
This is one of the few things my pops has talked about from his time in the military.
They're also named "tokay geckos" because it sounds like "tokay". They're also where the word "gecko" comes from. And they're blue with orange spots. All of which suggests that they are actually Pokemon.
.....now I'm wondering if the "muppet" drawing Julia was talking about was the one by Tove Jansson for the Swedish translation of the original book....y'know, the creator of the Moomins?
From the "looks like a yip yip alien" description I'd say almost certainly
15:00 I thought of another name: Chewer on the Peaks - sometimes called “Peak-Chew.”
How many other people had like an existential crisis when the real character for Jacob was revealed (I am trying not to spoil anything so I am being sort of cryptic)
