I like the way each image is layered into the final card front so each one ends up a different tone. Very dramatic!

Hey, Kelly, thanks to you I now have a name for one of my favourite embossing folder techniques! I ink blend over the raised image and then NEGATIVE BLEND 🤩 over all the rest with a dark colour. Takes all the stress out of going over the edges - and looks amazing. And I love the idea of trying this monochrome as well as with a dark purple (I normally do black or dark blue or green). Isn't that glue trick on sticky stuff great. I learned that years ago when I was making mini journals with scor tape. Excellent video. Purple is the hardest watercolor for an even background!
This is fabulous. I'm not good with water color painting, but I would definitely give this a try just for practice.

Lovely card. While you were doing your under painting, I had an idea to keep it from warping could you use the sticky mat from the stamp wheel and let it dry on that? Just an idea, haven’t tried it yet.

I tried this technique and though it came out ok it could have been better. My mistake was in using Tim Holtz's Distress Paint. Why was that a mistake for this? Because once that paint dries water doesn't reactivate it so there isn't a whole lot of blending that can happen once it dries. I knew this before I even started but I didn't really think about it.. So now back to the drawing board and I will use regular water colors. Thanks for the inspirational videos.

Please try it, you have nothing to loose except time, watercolour cardstock and paint. Surely its worth it for such a beautiful result and if its not beautiful at least you tried.
