Thanks for the video, Ealen. I have ripped roughly 1000 of my CDs into my Mac Studio (wav) but I've lost many of my favorite CDs and wonder how to get certain songs downloaded in lossless (or at least not heavily compressed) format without going out and rebuying those CDs. Thanks.
What am I missing? I have this plugged into my surface 7 with harmon kardon desktop speakers. It gets louder with the gain on H, but am I really hearing anything different? I'm listening to stuff with reverb and such to maybe hear differences. I'm not an audiophile, I don't know...
The source itself needs to be labeled hi-res audio as well. Which music streaming service are you listening to? Tidal and Qobuz and Amazon Music have tracks labeled "hi-res" if you're listening on a Surface 7.
@@ealanosborne I'm using youtube. Like I said, not an audiophile. But, I love music, I'm a lead guitarist. I want to like these gadgets. I didn't know it mattered what kind of audio it is. I use apple music. Not familiar with tidal. Edit- Ok, just checked, google says apple offers 2 types of "hi-res lossless" and to look for a lossless button. Don't see any buttons. I do see right under the Ryan Adams album cover "Hi-Res Lossless". I'm still not hearing to much difference. I'm gonna buy a better one, if it works cool, if not, I give up. Thx man. Back to work.
Ealan! That magnet on the device doesnt work cause metal mobile phones are from the aluminium :D. That blue metal disc is for that purpose. U should be able to glue it on the back of the mobile case :D.
@@krugmeup2162 Eh, probably not. This Hidizs one is okay, but THX makes one (The Onyx) among others that are more compact and probably better. 😄 I just got this one for free to review.
Oh my...hardest laugh in like months when suddenly heard "whats in the box" by Brad Pitt applied here. Oh well the discount coupon is no longer recognized it seems.
Thankfully I own a Beautiful LG G8X with (HiRes, MAQ certified internal ESS9281C PRO DAC) Phone. No need for dongles, no external DACs & using FREE "USB Audio Player Pro" software to work around Android USB caps; I have to sadly laugh at this ongoing plethora dangling junk hanging off our phones. Unfortunately LG has chosen to leave flooded phone market which will soon force me to search for an alternative phone. Hopefully LG will license out their phone designs and save us all from this crazy market of external dangling hardware.
I love it Ealan!! Your videos always make me laugh!! You're so close to 10k! Hope you're going to celebrate in style 😊
Thanks, man! Gonna celebrate by…editing a giveaway video I guess? 🤣 But really, I appreciate your kind words! 🎈🎉
This is funny stuff!
As your channel grows, don't lose your style. This is what sets you apart
That's the plan! :)

ealab I have a question I need a special headphones to hear a lossless audio? (I have the Sony wh 1000 xm3)
As long as you can plug your headphones in with a wire. Bluetooth can’t handle lossless audio (yet).
Thanks to both of you
Could I use this in my car (connect to aux in) to play hi res from iPhone?
Pretty sure, yeah. Just a 3.5mm aux cable out it, then into your car’s aux input. 👍
@@ealanosborne thanks. Any difference to a smaller dac ?

Haha! Yeah buddy! Took that sound bite straight from Se7en. 😁 And yeah, I imagine they deactivate any discount code after awhile. Sorry, mate.

Wow. Seriously? This metal disc is to stick IT on the surface of your phone or case it hold nicely. Lmao.
