I consider all of us fortunate to be able to listen to the flawless and pristine sanskrit rendition by Shastry brothers. No one can render these shlokas with the command and pure sanskrit pronunciation. The Surya Mandala Stotram which begins at 50:51 is an astounding rendition. Why Shastry brothers should not receive National Award for this? Afterall mere cinema stars and film singers are given awards each year, why no award to people like Shastry brothers who expect nothing and give us so much peace. Why India is so indifferent to its roots?
This is a very important point. The national awards gains importance only if they are given to the people who have made genuine contributions. Ours is a very very ancient culture. At present our nation is very slowly recovering from British colonial attitude. In the space of 300 - 500 years we might be able to recover our self confidence on our roots. This is my feeling.
Good question Mr.Raman. The past rulers dosent have any interest to promote VEDAS in our Hindustan except on other religions. Our neighbours are more keen on their religion of islam, teach and inculcate islam right from the elementary stage to their kids. वाल्मीकि रामायण के अनुसार “आदित्य हृदय स्तोत्र” अगस्त्य ऋषि द्वारा भगवान् श्री राम को युद्ध में रावण पर विजय प्राप्ति हेतु दिया गया था. आदित्य हृदय स्तोत्र का नित्य पाठ जीवन के अनेक कष्टों का एकमात्र निवारण है. इसके नियमित पाठ से मानसिक कष्ट, हृदय रोग, तनाव, शत्रु कष्ट और असफलताओं पर विजय प्राप्त की जा सकती है. इस स्तोत्र में सूर्य देव की निष्ठापूर्वक उपासना करते हुए उनसे विजयी मार्ग पर ले जाने का अनुरोध है. आदित्य हृदय स्तोत्र सभी प्रकार के पापों , कष्टों और शत्रुओं से मुक्ति कराने वाला, सर्व कल्याणकारी, आयु, उर्जा और प्रतिष्ठा बढाने वाला अति मंगलकारी विजय स्तोत्र है.

पूजयस्वैनमेकाग्रो देवदेवं जगप्ततिम् । एतत्त्रिगुणितं जप्त्वा युद्धेषु विजयिष्यसि ॥26॥
अस्मिन् क्षणे महाबाहो रावणं त्वं जहिष्यसि । एवमुक्ता ततोऽगस्त्यो जगाम स यथागतम् ॥27॥
एतच्छ्रुत्वा महातेजा नष्टशोकोऽभवत् तदा ॥ धारयामास सुप्रीतो राघव प्रयतात्मवान् ॥28॥
आदित्यं प्रेक्ष्य जप्त्वेदं परं हर्षमवाप्तवान् । त्रिराचम्य शूचिर्भूत्वा धनुरादाय वीर्यवान् ॥29॥
रावणं प्रेक्ष्य हृष्टात्मा जयार्थं समुपागतम् । सर्वयत्नेन महता वृतस्तस्य वधेऽभवत् ॥30॥
अथ रविरवदन्निरीक्ष्य रामं मुदितमना: परमं प्रहृष्यमाण: ।
निशिचरपतिसंक्षयं विदित्वा सुरगणमध्यगतो वचस्त्वरेति ॥31॥

I consider all of us fortunate to be able to listen to the flawless and pristine sanskrit rendition by Shastry brothers. No one can render these shlokas with the command and pure sanskrit pronunciation. The Surya Mandala Stotram which begins at 50:51 is an astounding rendition. Why Shastry brothers should not receive National Award for this? Afterall mere cinema stars and film singers are given awards each year, why no award to people like Shastry brothers who expect nothing and give us so much peace. Why India is so indifferent to its roots?
This is a very important point. The national awards gains importance only if they are given to the people who have made genuine contributions. Ours is a very very ancient culture. At present our nation is very slowly recovering from British colonial attitude. In the space of 300 - 500 years we might be able to recover our self confidence on our roots. This is my feeling.
Good question Mr.Raman. The past rulers dosent have any interest to promote VEDAS in our Hindustan except on other religions. Our neighbours are more keen on their religion of islam, teach and inculcate islam right from the elementary stage to their kids. The killer of darkness of the world who has immense light,
And who has the form of the one who rides on the swan.
2.Vedanthaya , pathangaya , vihangarooda murthaye,
Haridwarna thurangaya , Bhaskaraya namo nama.
Salutations to the maker of light , who is the philosopher,
The sun God who is in the sky , who has the form of flying God,
And who uses horses of the green colour.
3.Bhuvana thraya dheepaaya , bhakthi mukthi pradaya cha,

ಉಪಗಮ್ಯಾ ಬ್ರವೀದ್ರಾಮಮ್ ಅಗಸ್ತ್ಯೋ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಋಷಿಃ || 2 ||
ರಾಮ ರಾಮ ಮಹಾಬಾಹೋ ಶೃಣು ಗುಹ್ಯಂ ಸನಾತನಮ್ |
ಯೇನ ಸರ್ವಾನರೀನ್ ವತ್ಸ ಸಮರೇ ವಿಜಯಿಷ್ಯಸಿ || 3 ||
ಆದಿತ್ಯ ಹೃದಯಂ ಪುಣ್ಯಂ ಸರ್ವಶತ್ರು ವಿನಾಶನಮ್ |
ಜಯಾವಹಂ ಜಪೇನ್ನಿತ್ಯಂ ಅಕ್ಷಯ್ಯಂ ಪರಮಂ ಶಿವಮ್ || 4 ||
ಸರ್ವಮಂಗಳ ಮಾಂಗಳ್ಯಂ ಸರ್ವ ಪಾಪ ಪ್ರಣಾಶನಮ್ |
ಚಿಂತಾಶೋಕ ಪ್ರಶಮನಂ ಆಯುರ್ವರ್ಧನ ಮುತ್ತಮಮ್ || 5 ||
ರಶ್ಮಿಮಂತಂ ಸಮುದ್ಯಂತಂ ದೇವಾಸುರ ನಮಸ್ಕೃತಮ್ |
ಪೂಜಯಸ್ವ ವಿವಸ್ವಂತಂ ಭಾಸ್ಕರಂ ಭುವನೇಶ್ವರಮ್ || 6 ||
ಸರ್ವದೇವಾತ್ಮಕೋ ಹ್ಯೇಷ ತೇಜಸ್ವೀ ರಶ್ಮಿಭಾವನಃ |
ಏಷ ದೇವಾಸುರ ಗಣಾನ್ ಲೋಕಾನ್ ಪಾತಿ ಗಭಸ್ತಿಭಿಃ || 7 ||
ಏಷ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾ ಚ ವಿಷ್ಣುಶ್ಚ ಶಿವಃ ಸ್ಕಂದಃ ಪ್ರಜಾಪತಿಃ |
ಮಹೇಂದ್ರೋ ಧನದಃ ಕಾಲೋ ಯಮಃ ಸೋಮೋ ಹ್ಯಪಾಂ ಪತಿಃ || 8 ||
ಪಿತರೋ ವಸವಃ ಸಾಧ್ಯಾ ಹ್ಯಶ್ವಿನೌ ಮರುತೋ ಮನುಃ |
ವಾಯುರ್ವಹ್ನಿಃ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಾಣಃ ಋತುಕರ್ತಾ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರಃ || 9 ||
ಆದಿತ್ಯಃ ಸವಿತಾ ಸೂರ್ಯಃ ಖಗಃ ಪೂಷಾ ಗಭಸ್ತಿಮಾನ್ |
ಸುವರ್ಣಸದೃಶೋ ಭಾನುಃ ಹಿರಣ್ಯರೇತಾ ದಿವಾಕರಃ || 10 ||
ಹರಿದಶ್ವಃ ಸಹಸ್ರಾರ್ಚಿಃ ಸಪ್ತಸಪ್ತಿ-ರ್ಮರೀಚಿಮಾನ್ |
ತಿಮಿರೋನ್ಮಥನಃ ಶಂಭುಃ ತ್ವಷ್ಟಾ ಮಾರ್ತಾಂಡಕೋಽಂಶುಮಾನ್ || 11 ||
ಹಿರಣ್ಯಗರ್ಭಃ ಶಿಶಿರಃ ತಪನೋ ಭಾಸ್ಕರೋ ರವಿಃ |
ಅಗ್ನಿಗರ್ಭೋಽದಿತೇಃ ಪುತ್ರಃ ಶಂಖಃ ಶಿಶಿರನಾಶನಃ || 12 ||
ವ್ಯೋಮನಾಥ ಸ್ತಮೋಭೇದೀ ಋಗ್ಯಜುಃಸಾಮ-ಪಾರಗಃ |
ಘನಾವೃಷ್ಟಿ ರಪಾಂ ಮಿತ್ರೋ ವಿಂಧ್ಯವೀಥೀ ಪ್ಲವಂಗಮಃ || 13 ||
ಆತಪೀ ಮಂಡಲೀ ಮೃತ್ಯುಃ ಪಿಂಗಳಃ ಸರ್ವತಾಪನಃ |
ಕವಿರ್ವಿಶ್ವೋ ಮಹಾತೇಜಾ ರಕ್ತಃ ಸರ್ವಭವೋದ್ಭವಃ || 14 ||
ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ಗ್ರಹ ತಾರಾಣಾಮ್ ಅಧಿಪೋ ವಿಶ್ವಭಾವನಃ |
ತೇಜಸಾಮಪಿ ತೇಜಸ್ವೀ ದ್ವಾದಶಾತ್ಮನ್-ನಮೋಽಸ್ತು ತೇ || 15 ||
ನಮಃ ಪೂರ್ವಾಯ ಗಿರಯೇ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಾಯಾದ್ರಯೇ ನಮಃ |
ಜ್ಯೋತಿರ್ಗಣಾನಾಂ ಪತಯೇ ದಿನಾಧಿಪತಯೇ ನಮಃ || 16 ||
ಜಯಾಯ ಜಯಭದ್ರಾಯ ಹರ್ಯಶ್ವಾಯ ನಮೋ ನಮಃ |

ಏಷ ಸುಪ್ತೇಷು ಜಾಗರ್ತಿ ಭೂತೇಷು ಪರಿನಿಷ್ಠಿತಃ |
ಏಷ ಏವಾಗ್ನಿಹೋತ್ರಂ ಚ ಫಲಂ ಚೈವಾಗ್ನಿ ಹೋತ್ರಿಣಾಮ್ || 23 ||
ವೇದಾಶ್ಚ ಕ್ರತವಶ್ಚೈವ ಕ್ರತೂನಾಂ ಫಲಮೇವ ಚ |
ಯಾನಿ ಕೃತ್ಯಾನಿ ಲೋಕೇಷು ಸರ್ವ ಏಷ ರವಿಃ ಪ್ರಭುಃ || 24 ||

ಏನ ಮಾಪತ್ಸು ಕೃಚ್ಛ್ರೇಷು ಕಾಂತಾರೇಷು ಭಯೇಷು ಚ |
ಕೀರ್ತಯನ್ ಪುರುಷಃ ಕಶ್ಚಿನ್-ನಾವಶೀದತಿ ರಾಘವ || 25 ||
ಪೂಜಯಸ್ವೈನ ಮೇಕಾಗ್ರೋ ದೇವದೇವಂ ಜಗತ್ಪತಿಮ್ |
ಏತತ್ ತ್ರಿಗುಣಿತಂ ಜಪ್ತ್ವಾ ಯುದ್ಧೇಷು ವಿಜಯಿಷ್ಯಸಿ || 26 ||
ಅಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಕ್ಷಣೇ ಮಹಾಬಾಹೋ ರಾವಣಂ ತ್ವಂ ವಧಿಷ್ಯಸಿ |
ಏವಮುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ತದಾಗಸ್ತ್ಯೋ ಜಗಾಮ ಚ ಯಥಾಗತಮ್ || 27 ||

ಆದಿತ್ಯಂ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಜಪ್ತ್ವಾ ತು ಪರಂ ಹರ್ಷಮವಾಪ್ತವಾನ್ |
ತ್ರಿರಾಚಮ್ಯ ಶುಚಿರ್ಭೂತ್ವಾ ಧನುರಾದಾಯ ವೀರ್ಯವಾನ್ || 29 ||
