They dislike Taylor because she’s at the top of her game
💯
People throw rocks at things that shine
The dude with the best intros in the business is back! Great video, I especially loved that you got some in-theater footage. I actually went to see the live concert too! I took my wife even though I’m not the biggest Swift fan, but I had a great time and it made me appreciate her music more.
Oh nice! I actually don't know anyone else who went and saw the show live!! I know a lot of people who wanted to go but couldn't get tickets so it's cool that you actually got to go as well. I enjoyed the live show and the movie but obviously nothing is going to beat the live thing. Thanks for watching my dude & digging my intros!
One thing that impressed me was that there are all these different camera angles, but we never see a single camera on the screen. That took a lot of planning to pull off
Oh yeah you are right! That's not easy to pull off! Thanks for watching!
That intro!🤣🤣🤣
Glad you enjoyed it! Taylor is such a talented artist. Sooooo many great songs but I’m currently obsessing over “Cardigan” ❤️
Haha thank you Olivia! And yes I agree, Taylor is very talented & has been such a positive influence on women in the music industry. I know a lot of people who absolutely love "Cardigan" it seems to be the number one answer I'm getting! Thanks for watching lil Livy! (remember when I made that up?!)
Phenomenal video Cody!! I absolutely love what your theater did for the event!! I don’t believe we have Harkins theaters over here but your footage made me wish we did! I haven’t seen it and don’t know if I’ll get a chance to do so in the theater but I’ll definitely stream it if I don’t. That’s so wonderful about the scene with Kobe’s daughter, Taylor always comes off as a really kind person which I really appreciate. Keep up the fantastic work my friend!! 🎥🥂
Thank you so much Tracy! It was definitely a fun experience for Taylor Swift fans & cool to see a theater make it more of an event to get people excited for. Kobe's daughter was such a brief part but it was so powerful & it was nice to see her so happy. I agree, Taylor seems to be a really kind person which is a plus. Thank you for watching! I appreciate it!
What a great time I’m glad you got to experience it 😀💕 she was amazing just like you . Awesome video as always
Aww well thank you so much! Yes, she was amazing! Thanks again for all of your support Tiana!
hell yes!
Yeah buddy! Thanks for watching my dude!
Excellent review🤘
Hey, thank you so much, I appreciate that! 🤘🎃🤘
Loved it. And yeah, I saw the concert. I'm a Rep girlie.
Heck Yeah! 🤘🎃🤘
fwiw: Taylor's team was getting a poor response from the studios on releasing the film for her, when someone put her father in contact with management at AMC . Her father (a former Merrill Lynch exec) is on her 13Management team (as is her mother). AMC agreed to act as distributor (a first); the money seems to break down as 43% of tickets goes to the theater showing the film; Taylor gives AMC a cut from her 53% for handling not just their own, but overall distribution. I suspect Swift had the cups and such, so I couldn't guess whether that is from her percent or a charge to theaters that use it. Everyone in the deal got a lot more than if the studios had been involved; and Beyoncé followed the same lead.
I went second weekend, in a small Regal theater; they'd had to send all the Taylor cups and such to a larger theater in the chain. Even so, I will likely go again, but to a smaller local place. Wasn't the Imax sort of theater -- but the nearest one of those to me is almost 60 miles. . . .
Oh wow that's really interesting to know. Thanks for sharing and watching!
@@dudewholovesmovies the thing to watch isn't whether other bands do concerts; it will be whether indie movie makers (like, for instance, a certain Austin Swift) _also_ decide to go direct to AMC instead of one of the studios.
Great review! As a moderate Swiftie, I watched The Eras Tour Movie at a local cinema and I was blown away how amazing it was. Taylor is in her own league. Fave TS album? 1989.
Oh very cool! 1989 is such a great album and was the album that caught my attention, then the rest was history lol. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video brother! Your screening looked a lot cooler than mine, wish we had the buckets!
Yeah it was definitely a fun event. Oh man sorry you guys didn't have the buckets! Thanks for watching!
I agree with you about the camera angle they used for the jump-swim stunt. In the movie, the stunt didn't look that impressive. I really like your Harkins Theatre display and the effort they put into making the movie experience something to remember.
I was impressed with the effort Harkins put into making this an event rather than just a movie showing. It was a fun experience for everyone who attended. Thanks for watching!
That’s interesting about the stunt, you’d think with the tools of cinema at their fingertips, with the ability to use specific angles and editing, the stunt would’ve looked amazing on screen. Makes the live performance that much more special!
Funny thing, my dad always credits himself for discovering Taylor Swift. He listens to a lot of country and heard her first radio song over the waves and said this girl will be a huge star. This was before she was a household name and all. He was right 😂, and he takes credit, as if he made it happen. 😂
Exactly! That is why I was thrown off while watching the stunt during the movie but I'm glad I saw it in real life and it looked legit!
Hahaha Your dad created SWIFT-A-MANIA!!! Does he still like her even though she isn't really country anymore? Tell your dad Thanks from all the Swifty's! Your Dad needs a TH-cam channel called Pure Swift and at the end of his videos he needs to have the slogan "Swift'n Ain't Easy" 🤣
@@dudewholovesmovies 🤣😂😂 since she doesn’t play on country radio, he probably hasn’t even heard her music in years 😂. But I think he still feels like a proud father, for all the success she’s had 😆😆
Cody……..of course Johnny went to see it. Wife got bummed out because the whole Ticketmaster fiasco, so I scooped up 4 tickets and brought my nieces. I actually really liked it. My wife wants to go see it again. Pray for me. 😢😢😢😂😂😂
Hahaha well I'm glad you gave it a try and actually enjoyed it! You need to change your channel name to What's Johnny The Swifty Watching? Haha it's Gold!😂 Thanks for watching man!
@@dudewholovesmovies😂😂 My wife would LOVE that. 😂😂😂😂

love your don't tell mom the babysitter is dead poster
Ah thank you! It's one of my favorites growing up!
I actually very seldom watching film review on youtube coz im not much of a film fan but for this review, me as a swifties, u definately earned my sub 😊😊 hope ur channel will grow & keep growing my friend 😊😊😊
Thank you so much 🙏 I appreciate that and you!
taylor swift is cool i,m waiting for streaming
I hope it comes out on a nice 4K Steelbook
it was 3hrs at our theater
It was like 2 hours & 45 minutes
I watch the movie…and would love to watch the live if ever she comes in Vancouver BC. Also love it and want to watch it again soon. I love the willow and reputation part especially the 3D snake. That surprised me😂
Oh I hope it makes it out to you in Vancouver BC, you never know! Yeah, that 3D snake was pretty cool! Thanks for watching!
I'm not a big Swift fan but I do like theater events. I have seen a few UFC events in theaters and it's a good time. Anything to support theaters is great IMO.
Yeah those events are cool to go to and it's great for the theaters. Thanks for watching man!
It's the Clueless shirt for me! 💁🏽♀️
Gotta love a classic!
can't blame the singer not her fault
I agree
Do you think this movie will come to physical media?
I do! They would be missing out on a huge opportunity if they didn't.
@@dudewholovesmovies Best Buy announced they are ending all sales of DVD's in a few months; seems streaming is making it unprofitable to spend the floor space on it.
Im confused.... you went to see this?????
Absolutely!
@@dudewholovesmovies omg lol why?????
@@vanderhoff66fu Oh because I'm a Swifty lol
@@dudewholovesmovies omg I'm unsubscribing LOL
@@vanderhoff66fu 🤣🤣🤣
her tickets was expensive for theaters 20 or 30 bucks
Oh really? Wow. My tickets were $50 but it was an event where I got the Popcorn bucket, Cup, Bracelet, and Lanyard plus the photo ops and what not which is worth it if you are fan and or a collector
@@dudewholovesmovies no i didn't go see it in the theaters it might have been more than 30 bucks and i couldn't afford it i love her songs though
The tickets are $19.89 for adults and $13.13 for children and Seniors. If you think about how much it would cost to go see her live and you really wanted to go, but couldn't afford a few hundred. Twenty dollars is a great deal to be able to see what the concert was about.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 jason would definitely kill her
Yeah I'm pretty sure you are right haha
Love ya, but nope! 😂
Her and the Kardashians I avoid like the plague! Lol
Hahaha I totally get it man!
@@galesbangs Don't lump her with the lying Kardashians after what Kim and Kanye did to her.
