can i look at the laser beam if i am shining it in the sky, not by aircrafts or anything, can i look at just the beam or no? i have a 2w 445nm blue laser.
Not for 2W. The beam is caused by light being scattered by air particulates. A reflection off any class 4 laser is enough to damage your eyesight. Only use Class 3B lasers at most!
@@Exachad iv'e done it before where i look at the beam above my head, so i really can't look at the beam if it is going into the atmosphere? i thought it had to reflect off something or be pointed at you directly to do any damage or look at the dot close by.
@@adamfisher6448 Yes, but the reason you can see the beam is because part of it is being scattered off small air particulates like dust and hitting your eyes. Class 4 laser beams are not only hazardous when directly in contact with your eyes but unlike class 3B lasers, they are also hazardous when scattered.
thank you for this video..i want to ask...if i ordered how many days should i recieve my laser..? and does the core laser go for a long distance? thank you again...:)
Can just shining it normally cause skin damage by radiation or does the beam have too touch you skin in order too cause skin damage. This is one of my biggest questions.
Beam has to touch your skin. It means the concentration of light in such a small point is so much that it will burn your skin. You need to wear laser safety glasses at all times when operating a laser above 5mw. 5mw is the legal limit.
You do not really need safety glasses for lasers above 5mw, anywhere above 30mw though you probably will, but I have a laser 303 that is 50mw at least I owned for more than a month and didn't have safety glasses and I'm ok, if you're doing burning though you're gonna need safety glasses. I've accidentally shined it at my eyes once, I immediately let go of it and I'm ok.
Oh look at you guys bragging about safety! Your glasses aren't even rated as safe for your own lasers! People have proved time and time again that your laser googles are not capable of saving someone's eyes if they look into the beam!
POPPING AND BURNING: As of v0.9.42 BETA, go to the "SETTINGS" button, then to the drop down menu next to it. Go to "GENERAL". The "SHOW BURN/POP APPS" selector is near the bottom of the list. Settings>General>Show Burn/Pop apps
I'm glad SOMEONE at WL knows laser safety
This pretty well sums up laser safety.

yes 5mw and below are safe because the human "blink reflex" can protect your eyes. Any laser above 5mw must be used with laser goggles.
Do i need glasses for a laser 301 (green) and laser 301 (red) ?
I don't see a DEBUG option in settings. What version of laser OS do I need?
I'm in the US if that matters.

krypton and arctic lasers are the class 3B or 4?
Where are the burn and pop activation instructions? The other video says they're in the description but the description just has your website on it.
open laseros -> go to settings -> general -> open debug window -> write burn -> restart the app.
Most do not know classes and what they mean. Good info.
@maidensk8ter1 what color and power is ur laser?

It has to touch the skin
Typing Burn in debug on android doesn't work
I. Like laser pointers

What I don’t understand is that it says to absolutely not use the lasers outside and then they proceed to have outdoor use shown in their videos
5:03 - 5:30
IS THAT A HINT FOR A NEW, .R.E.D. S3 SPYDER?!?
Woo now i am safe with a laser that i will never be able to own...
Thank you for posting this video Wicked Lasers. :)
The first laser i built was a class 3b red 200mw laser and i was smart enough to buy goggles ;)
It is more than time for this... :)
dont you think class 4 is a liiiiittle bit overpowered for doing that? XD
Awesome! Now I know to not use a class 4 to shine at a string to cut it!
I already did this, I got myself a 1.5W laser diode and i cut a string with it.
