Ok I get it now. I think Jimi Ono in the video represents Evan's Vanoss persona (she even has the same color scheme: yellow, red & black). Her taking away the yearbook & the paper from Evan represents his decision to choose his TH-cam career over his studies, iirc he's a college dropout, + the fact his parents didn't approve of it at first. And based on the lyrics, it definitely aligns with that.
