Would you believe this entire song is led by one person - G.C. Cameron, who had the ability to sound like Smokey Robinson, Curtis Mayfield, The Isley Brothers and others and recorded the original version of "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday." He was also a member of The Temptations between 2003-2007 and in 2019.
Yeah, you're right, one guy -- G.C. Cameron -- did the entire lead vocal. It sounds like multiple singers, but it's just him on the lead. His range is incredible and so soulful. One of my all-time favorite R&B songs.
The Mighty Spinners….. Legendary group with mad hits, you can go deep into their catalogue….. I don’t know if you did the song Sadie yet that jawn is fire… The live version
"That's What Girls Are Made For" was their first hit in 1961, having made #5 on the US R&B Chart, followed by "I'll Always Love You" in 1965 (#8 R&B) - "It's A Shame" didn't hit until 1971 (#4 R&B). Technically, they didn't enter the Top 10 of the Billboard Top Charts until they left Motown and made "I'll Be Around."
@Satori ... us Old School Guys and Gals are gonna have you out here DANCING It was called -- (a) **Hand-Dancing** in the DMV; (b) **Steppin'** in the Chi-Town area; (c) **Boppin'** or **Fast-Dancing** in the St Louis to Naptown to Cincinnati beltway ... I can tell you have difficulty staying in your cozy chair while listening to these Old School cuts, youngster. Give it up. Get up and DANCE!! LOL LOL LOL
Do It Baby is a great song by the Miracles but the lead singer was Billy Griffin. He replaced Smokey after he left the group. Billy Griffin was great but nobody could really replace Smokey. Smokey recorded a solo album titled Smokey with songs Holly and Baby Come Close. Check them out you’ll love them!
Produced And Written By The Legendary Stevie Wonder

The Spinners have a great song called "Mighty Love" you should react to also.
A young Stevie Wonder was one of the writers of this song he also produced it for The Spinners.
Yes, the co-writer was his wife. singer Syreeta Wright.
Cant talk about 70s soul without mentioning the Spinners.
Yay! I'm so happy you liked it. It's such a great song and The Spinners are the best. Woohoo!
Just gets better every time you hear these guys!
Just hearing that opening opens up a floodgate of memories growing up just outside of Motown in the summer of 1970..
Written by Stevie Wonder and his then-wife singer Syreeta Wright. Lead singer the vastly underrated G.C. Cameron.
One of The Spinners best....I love it ❤❤. OLD SCHOOL RULES 😊😊.

How about It's Your Thing by The Isley Brothers? Something funky by them instead of their typical smooth songs.
I like Phillippe Wynne as lead better
