This is a lie. I have reached the forbidden rank 0 through hardwork. I have found dozens of blendettes and got them out of their Bush homes, helping hundreds of baby dwights on gens and having to go down for the gen while dwight runs off, and escaped over a thousand chases from the entity herself. No matter what, I can disregard that 2 in front of my 0 in my ranking. I believe I have ascended above others while being told that I was just a baby. I am now full of shit. I am Corrector Chris.

As a survivor, you often don't have that much control over your pips, if you get chased the whole match, good luck pipping up, you might have iri evader, but you'll have failed in all other categories. As a killer, you're largely in control over your pips. Sure, you can get genrushed and not pip, but if you focus on tunneling 1 survivor out of the game, you should be able to slow the game down enough to get the remaining emblems, just make sure you don't kill the 3rd survivor before you hook the 4th.

In my opinion it’s much harder to play killer (the game is a little unfair towards killers at times, more than it’s unfair to survivors) this being said, you have to play really fucking good to pip up. Don’t kill at least 3 survivors? Not pipping up. 3 or mor gens pop in the first minute, or exit gate is opened? Not pipping up. Survivors heal every time they are hit? Not pipping up. The only one that’s actually pretty easy is the chaser, since you literally just play the game. TL;DR Killers harder IMO, that’s why it’s harder to pip up

Still, I managed to hit rank 1 killer multiple times, but I've never reached rank 1 survivor before. I know what I need to do as killer in order to pip, it's possible to pip with only 1 kill. Insta down killers are very bad at pipping, but it's pretty hard to depip. I think the reason that reaching higher ranks as killer is easier to me, is because it's not uncommon to safety pip despite having a bad game (since the killer gets some points in all emblems if they played decently). Meanwhile, a bad game as survivor often results in a depip.

I've been stuck at rank 5 / 4 for more than a year! I thought all I had to do at least 2 gens & 1 safe unhook to pip and was frustrated that I haven't been pipping. This is a game changer!! (I had no clue that dull totems even mattered!!)

If you play solo Q good luck getting under rank 4. Every time I get under rank 4, I get the worst players I’ve ever seen in DBD and they let me die on my first hook and I depip.

I don’t think so, grinding bloodpoints on killer is so much easier, hence why it would also be easier to get more points towards your pips! Non SWF can’t control if they escape for example, but killers can basically control every category:)
Season after season, I struggle at Iridescent II. Can't pip up until I've reached 4 pips. Day after day for two weeks, I'm either stuck with 0 or 1 pips at most. The game's rigged.
Honestly in red ranks you should go for the altruism then gen. Gens can be done at anytime but unhooks can only be done when someone gets downed by the killer.
Because ranking is broken, it still needs some considerations like how fast gens were done or something. We can't do altruism if gens did fly and nobody got hooked. I had some games that went super fast and I depip by escaping.
the problem with this rank system is that when i am reaching red rank , sometimes there is no hooking other survivors at all or not even a chase and you loosing progress while you gain only the last emblem of being unhooked or not fall down , i got 2 days stucked on rank 2 because that , its not fair and the other thing is if you are a red rank its very unfair to have team mates ash ranks , they should fix that , you cannot one person carry the whole team alone

What is 250 gen progress? The score at top right is way too much to be what it is. Is 250 gen progress like 2 whole gens alone or is there some kind of estimation?
This guide has a lot of errors. Let me explain Benevolent - For each survivor who gets on the hook, you will receive a malus. If they dont get unhooked, you dont get the bonus for a survivor being unhooked. What does that mean? If one guy dies in the trial, you will get -10 malus, if two -20, if 3 -30. This means you will have to tryhard more for hooks if the game is going thrash, since you will even have malus point. - To get an iridiscent two unhooks and two heals will get u to gold, not iridiscent. I usually get around 4/5 safe hooks for an iridiscent (._.) Evader - Stealth is key. Ignore chases, ignore everything else. If you want to pip and rankup, stealth it's the easiest way to actually do those pips, because it is just so much simplier to do and gives you time to do the other stuff. What do i mean? Well, let's suppose you're a god and manage to evade for a long time. OK, you did good and everything, but if the killer tunnels or campers you, it's certain lost pip, since benevolent and iridiscent will literally be at bronze/silver, since killer evasion on lightbriger IT'S THRASH. If you keep the killer for 5 GENS, it will give you not more than 30/40 points! And since you were being chased, it will result in a silver! So if you keep on escaping, you will have none/bronze in benevolent, iridiscent in evader, silver in lightbringer and silver/gold in survival (idk if it is the correct name, excuse me), meaning in a lost pip Lightbringer - idk how, but there were games when we did literally 1/2 gens in the whole game and since i did them, i got iridiscent, but then did 3/4 in a escape game and got bamboozled with a gold. What does that mean? The 2 gens that sharp is referring to it's personal progression. Which means that you will have to do that progress alone and if people helps u tapping the gen, you lose points, since it counts as half - if the killer deletes your gen progression, you lose almost all your points. Be careful, the gen progression that is counted is ONLY actual progress Ultimated. Surviving The guide actually is precise on this one. Gj m8 This is my knowledge that i acquired by trying to get to rank 1 (failing miserably). I am 100% sure that behaviour did an horrible job at setting up survivals requirements for pipping, since its really, really hard on survivor and really easy on killer Peace out
It is solo, every percent counts for 1 progress i believe so basically the amount of progress you do on that gen is awarded. So if you start a gen with somebody else and both finish it you’ll get 50 points :)
am i the only one who feels like after the last rank reset it has been rlly hard to pip? i’ve played perfect games so many times since then and instead of pipping i de pip. i went from a rank 5 to a 9 to a 10 lol
Probably the dumbest ranking system ever. I keep going back and forth from 13 to 12 while my friend made it to 12 and stayed there. My main focus is escaping. I shouldn’t feel forced to change my play style just to up my rank. Especially if It doesn’t reward me with anything.
My thing is my team DC’d vs a oni so oni was chasing me for about a minute and I found hatch mid chase I got out the trial and I got depipped it’s not my fault it was a fast game

The Pip system is so bad, but the survival emblem is the worse. Not getting hook not only hurts the killer, but your team as well especially if someone is about to be dead on hook. In seconds the altruism is second worse as it makes survivors camp hooks and farm and self-care in corners. Boldness and objective are literally the only good emblems, boldness helps make survivors better runners and objective is well obvious doing the objective.
i've been struggling with that for 3 weeks to figure out what needed which on mobile DBD, there are only 2 ways to climb, save team till you die and face the killer till you max it out, 99% of the timei got +1 or +2 that way, objective, survival are useless to focus in games where team does not exist, well even then i've lost more ranks than i climbed cause my team dies in 10s after i unhook them with borrowed time even 2 safe unhooks at a time before i go down, well alot of games are one sided also, i get tunneled from 5 secs in regardless of what i do, stealthy, gen, hiding, hiding in locker, avoiding open areas, hugging walls, even going mid for the gen nothing matters in rng game those games i die first and it happends very often, after surviving being camped for 3 to 5m without help my team that's left dies in 60 to 90s, at rank 4, red rank.
Depends on which emblem you're going for specifically. For altruism you could run stuff like We'll make it, Empathy, etc or any other perks built around healing injured teammates. I'd recommend looking into builds for whatever you struggle with most

A lot of this stuff you don’t really need perks to do, borrowed time helps a lot with altruism though and an exhaustion perk helps with bold ness :)

Probably the dumbest ranking system ever. I keep going back and forth from 13 to 12 while my friend made it to 12 and stayed there. My main focus is escaping. I shouldn’t feel forced to change my play style just to up my rank. Especially if It doesn’t reward me with anything.
What exactly is meant by "250 gen progress"? Is there a certain amount of time measurement or number of gens to have this be more easily understood?

My thing is my team DC’d vs a oni so oni was chasing me for about a minute and I found hatch mid chase I got out the trial and I got depipped it’s not my fault it was a fast game

The Pip system is so bad, but the survival emblem is the worse. Not getting hook not only hurts the killer, but your team as well especially if someone is about to be dead on hook. In seconds the altruism is second worse as it makes survivors camp hooks and farm and self-care in corners. Boldness and objective are literally the only good emblems, boldness helps make survivors better runners and objective is well obvious doing the objective.
I think survival is pretty bad, all the others are okay though :)
i've been struggling with that for 3 weeks to figure out what needed which on mobile DBD, there are only 2 ways to climb, save team till you die and face the killer till you max it out, 99% of the timei got +1 or +2 that way, objective, survival are useless to focus in games where team does not exist, well even then i've lost more ranks than i climbed cause my team dies in 10s after i unhook them with borrowed time even 2 safe unhooks at a time before i go down, well alot of games are one sided also, i get tunneled from 5 secs in regardless of what i do, stealthy, gen, hiding, hiding in locker, avoiding open areas, hugging walls, even going mid for the gen nothing matters in rng game those games i die first and it happends very often, after surviving being camped for 3 to 5m without help my team that's left dies in 60 to 90s, at rank 4, red rank.

Depends on which emblem you're going for specifically. For altruism you could run stuff like We'll make it, Empathy, etc or any other perks built around healing injured teammates. I'd recommend looking into builds for whatever you struggle with most
