  • Quite possibly the funniest 5:43 seconds that has ever aired on the View and certainly my favorites of all of John's jokes rolled into one clip. Here he talks about Turnips, Gluten, Grocery Shopping and Self Checkout along with Turkey Dinner, Coach bags, Gluten Free Bread and more. Originally aired Dec 22, 2008?

    Such a loss!
He was one of a mere handful of comedians who relied upon everyday life for his stories, but did not rely upon swearing, sex or shock-value effects to appeal to an audience.
Kind of like having your favourite uncle over for supper and no one eats because everyone is laughing too hard at his abilities as a raconteur.
    Such a dear, kind soul.

Whoopi Goldberg sat there watching in awe, thinking to herself "damn, there's just no way in the world that I could ever be as funny as this guy."

I love that Whoopie is laughing in the back. She was one of my favorite comedians growing up.

He really stole the show there.
I still watch his shows and they still make me laugh out loud.
