A lot of training places will get a small rink that's cheaper/easier to cool and work on skating without needing to built or rent and entire giant hockey rink to train just one player.
Ya... One of my first videos, did it in one take. Had marbles in my mouth, thought a word salad was right. It was not... Trying to get better at scripting videos and editing. Won't happen again lol
Well you need to make the read of where the open lane is, where the toe caps and stick position of the d man are. These are escape routes under pressure, to slip by top down pressure and avoid allowing the d man to get a “full piece” of you. I used these in bantam, Minor Midget, OHL and as a 5”8” winger I was able to protect myself and create offence from avoiding hits from guys 8 inches taller and 60 lbs heavier.
Optionality-ability to chose more options, maybe not the best word choice, but what I mean is that from the 2 foot stance you have more options to escape and make plays than a lateral cross over. I am working on becoming better at the video and analysis side. I originally made this account to help my teams understand what I am talking about. I try to do it in 1 take off the top of my head, so sometimes I toss in words that may not be perfect,so thank you for that feedback. I think creating a script would make the quality better, I will make the adjustment and get better!
@@CoachCMACK actually I like your videos very much. Just had to bust balls a bit on that one word. Thanks for not taking offense. I was working on one of the moves at hockey this morning. Over 60 and still learning. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for posting these helpful vids!
this is amazing skills , thank you
What hockey Rink is that? It's so small? Did someone fund that or did the city make that?

Fuxk yeah, put yourself in good position to make an easy play

wouldn't work in bantam all the defender has to do is stay with him and gets hit
