The west coast sound of the early 90s is one of the main reasons why hip hop just blew up like rock n roll did in the 1950s. Too much swagger and the music was just good.

i could not get enough of this video when it first came out ..it was the funniest intro ever almost chocked with laughter every time i heard Ricky (RIP)
One of the Golden Records of this Genre of music. Gansta Funk… RIP Rudy Ray Moore, Ricky Harris and so many others 😢 Yall left your mark in this world…
@@briankerogoi4798 not at all . Dre took way too much credit. Look at Pac's All Eyes on Me album. Daz and Quik never received their recognition they should have
False Dr. Dre mixed and produced the fuck out this beat Snoop addressed these accusations as if Dre took credit for Daz beats when it was the other way around.. Dre mixed and co produced all of Dogg Food. That whole album was recorded at Dres house every song was mixed by Dre, What Would You Do was co produced and mixed by Dre. Daz never made a beat until Dre taught him how. How come there's been 20 Daz albums since Dogg Food and none of them have the same crystal clear sound production and quality as Dogg Food cause Dre no longer mixed or co produced his beats. And if you think Daz produced Doggystyle without Dre your on crack
The nastiest bassline of all time in Hip Hop/Rap. Nothing has come closer. And Kurupts lyrics and style made this song special. Not to leave off the Dramatics. Combining 90s rap with legendary 60s-70s R&B group was unheard of.
This is the classic example of what I debate with this new generation of artist. Snoop, Dre and The Dog Pound were 90s artist given tribute to the 70s. From the nostalgia to the music itself. Todays artist acts like anything musically or pop culturally that didn't happen after 2001 never existed or doesn't matter to them. That's why their hip hop lack any maturity and sounds like underdevelopped.
Snoop set the bar high with this one... This was a contribution to the development of Hip Hop. In addition to the West Coast style. This album had a Hell of an impact on the culture. It's in a class by itself.
Snoops voice cuts through this beat like a hot knife through butter. Timeless classic.
