    Good times for a change
    Seems the luck I’ve had
Can make a good man turn bad
    So please, please, please
Let me, let me, let me
Let me get what I want
    This time
Haven’t had a dream in a long time
    Seems the love I’ve had
Can made a good man bad
So for once in my life
Let me get what I want
Lord knows it would be the first time
Lord knows it would be the first time
Haven’t had a dream in a long time
    Seems the love I’ve had
Can make a good man bad

I CANNOT BELIEVE I’m just finding this song after forty two years on Earth, seeing Ferris Bueller a million times, and counting myself a huge audiophile. But what an amazing tune and here I thought that AMAZING music in the museum was only orchestrated background music made for the scene.

I walked down the aisle at my wedding to this version of the song. I had our piano player then play it at our cocktail hour. And our first dance was to this song redone by the Deftones since this is my favorite song, and Deftones is his favorite band. And of course the original as a slow song for the second last song.. 4 times in total at my wedding, and no one noticed except 3 people...

You're so right. Plus Kate's lovely ever-underused harmonising only adds to the beautiful package. There are a good many versions of songs that outdo the old stuffy originals, but that's mainly cos top artists of the 80s like Kim Wilde, Duran Duran, Alphaville, Sandra, Bangles and A-ha are doing them.

    • @solarismoon3046
      @solarismoon3046 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes - the studio set decorators knew that so they had it written into the script that Ferris would use this for a fake cough but it wouldn't have that capacity to do so at the time. I played one two, or three years after the movie was made that cost $35,00.00 then which would be about $95,00.00 in todays money and it didn't do that either - this was a trick on people watching as it was recorded and then parts of someone coughing slowed down and other parts sped up and played back to simulate what they thought it would sound like through and actual synthesizer. And to my knowledge none of them do that to this day as there is no want, or desire for it in music! You can put a mic on a synth and run through it but that's about as close as you're going to get to an actual cough!
