Elaine, you need to list the names and provide links in the description for the “glazes” and the sealants. At the very least slow down when giving the names of the products. It took 5 rewinds to get the sealer info. I picked up a discounted pack of these boards and gave them a try. I’m not a watercolor artist, rather acrylics and mixed medium. Enjoying them, but you made getting the follow up info difficult. I still don’t have a clue what you meant by glazes. I’ll toss a coat of acrylic medium down and hope for the best. I’m sure you serve Ampersand well as President, but It’s not a race, please slow down and list info w/links.
Hi, I find aquabord very frustrating, probably better for qouahe and acrylic, I found it really difficult using watercolour. I have been painting a long time.
I feel the same. I'm a very experienced watercolour artist, and Aquabord just doesn't handle the way you expect watercolour paper to. I'm sure it has its merits, but for my style, with a lot of detail and lineart, it's no good.
After priming the Aquabord at least 15 times with water, I am STILL getting bubbles on the surface, not once as we were told on the video. No good for skies! If you want smooth washes, Aquabord isn't a good idea.
Just what I needed! I have bought an aqua board and have not used it yet. This has come timely.many thanks
this is relaxing and this is really cool!
What do you suggest sealing the aquabord with?
Do you need to put water on the Aquabord if you are using acrylics?
