cord means wire. any machine which works with power cable installed (either it have rechargeable batteries or not)
cordless means. that any machine have rechargeable batteries and it have separate charger and charger base. we use this machine as a charged device. so it is cordless machine
similar as some drill machines we operate at direct 220 volt (that are cord power drill machines)
and we use handheld drill machines, which contain batteries. and are charged by a battery charger that are cordless drill machines
