I agree. Though this guy is just an electrician, he probably has nothing to do with the tile you. But on another note, that water proofing is schluter if you look closely, and is now compromised from the screws and it also voids the schluter warranty. Feel bad for that customer.
Great explanation. Can this be done above the shower head, near where the wall meets the ceiling?
Sure. Just seal everything properly and make sure it's powered from a gfci circuit.
Great connected at the gfic
it makes sense, right? extra protection and an easy disconnect for servicing.
Is it Code legal to combine 120Vac and low voltage LED supply in same junction box?
Not an issue if your cable is rated for it. My low voltage cable is a 18 awg fire alarm 300v rated cable.
I guess the second aluminum channel was screwed in puncturing the tile guys water proofing?
It may have, but that area will get silicone in the end when everything is complete.
Link to parts
Great where can i buy parts ?????
I put the links up in the description. Let me know how your project turns out. Good luck!
Fire wire going to the led strip 😂😂😂
And an LED strip that's not rated, yet 'waterproofed' with a bead of clear silicone 😂😂😳
Find a cleaner tile guy

@stephencasey8131 those schluter boxes are the biggest waste of money it baffles me that people pay 300 bucks for it.
