I’m reading once upon a broken heart now! I felt the same about the Caraval series, I was intrigued but not at all connected to characters so wasn’t blown away. Tip for book sizes, new releases are always larger, if you wait until it’s not a “new release”, they’ll print it in the other size.
I actually loved the audiobook so much 😭😭 as someone with a non-existent attention span it helped me finish the series so much faster, plus quite opposite to your experience, it got me into reading audiobooks
And here I am half way through The Ballad of Never After and had no clue I should have read the Caraval books first. Well that sucks.. Thanks for sharing!!
No but the fact that I read the whole series just to watch this video and realize that I needed to read caraval before 😢 (not sure if I want to read caraval and repeat the series again)
You have to read the good girl's guide to murder series by holly jackson and trust me it is just sooo good I am OBSESSED with pip and ravi and now it is also becoming a tv show
I love that edition of Caraval so much! I really loved Caraval, i finished it in one sit the same as legendary. I love this video and I can't wait to read more myself again
@@similanscheer3904reading books its not a competition, everyone has its own time and it’s completely fine ☺️just read whenever you feel it and enjoy it
Omg. I read the caraval trilogy and loved it. I started once upon a broken heart, but just stopped reading it… u made me want to pick it up again and get through that series!
Yeah I noticed with Stephanie Gerber's writing (I'm reading ballad of never after right now) she tends to tell you everything that's going on instead of showing you. So in theory it's interesting but the execution can be quite cold:/
35:06 omg yess! I prefer when the guys' perspective stays mysterious and how it can make the female lead's feelings more relatable and build upon the suspense. I think that's probably why Magnolia Parks was good but also not my favourite. the drama of it all had me invested though!
I remember reading Caraval at middle school !! I enjoyed it so much but I’ve forgotten the specifics by now…. I’m wondering if I should reread the whole series before reading finale 😅
GIIIIRL there is a pink/correct size version of a curse for true love, it was published in June! Usually they will publish the smaller books a few months after the initial release. Also a curse for true love was my 5⭐️🥰
was so excited to see a new reading vlog from you and even more excited when I saw you were gonna read my favorite books! All my ratings were the exact same, i'm just obsessed with the ballad of never after!! (Also I read the caraval series after once upon a broken heart and definitely regretted it, so worth reading caraval first). Love your videos!!💗
When I was reading The ballad of never after and Jacks said that Ballads never end well I knew it was gonna be sad, but I didn’t know why. He LITERALLY warned us that we were gonna be sobbing Lol. 😭😭😭 6 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was like gasping obsessed for caravan series !! So much that I rushed to get the 3d book Finale as soon as I finished the second one 😂 ( also not to forget we all need reasons to buy more books 😅)
I thought about not reading caraval and directly diving into once upon a broken heart but now idk 😅 I have also heard not the best for caraval so I'm conflicted! This was such a fun reading vlog ❤
I honestly recommend u to read the caraval series first. The main character of once upon a broken heart series appears in the second book of caraval, and the story is really important. It really helped me ❤ And this is my own opinion, but caraval was meh, nothing incredible, but legendary was awesome. As briddy said, the love triangle was the best thing ever to me
I read OUABH before the Caraval series and I didn’t have trouble understanding either stories! However I would like to reread once upon a broken heart now that I’ve finished caraval
Mittens looks like how the ghost of Christmas present in Muppet Christmas Carol looked at the end of his turn combined with the spirit of pre transformation ebenezer Scrooge. Precious.
I read Caravel in 2020, and got about halfway through Legendary but I DNF’d it because I wasn’t that into it!! But now i really wanna read Once Upon a Broken Heart… i might just do it anyway haha
Tog is just amazing. My go to comfort re-read and very different from ACOTAR. Just keep in mind going into this that she was very young 15/16 when she started writing this series. And I’m a believer of reading The Assasins Blade first. I said what I said 😅😅 so don’t come for me in the comments 👋🏾
I’m just about done reading the last book in once upon a broken heart and I haven’t read caraval 😔 I didn’t know they had the same characters sooooo whoops
Girl you must read The Timekeeper's Secret by iLana Markarov! The only 5 🌟 book! The aesthetic, female protgonist, rivals to lovers, dystopia is perfection!!! Gonna reread
I’m kinda the same with audio books I don’t really like them and if I’ve ever liked them it’s when they have a male and female narrator for the voices lol I think the only audio books I’ve ever listened to that I liked was Wildfire by Hannah Grace and also powerless by Lauren Roberts was pretty good also
I truly feel like I am one of the minority that absolutely LOVED the caraval series. I flew through them!! For me it was Finale / Legendary -> Caraval! I didn't love Jacks as much as everyone else did though so I am curious if I will love him more when I get to the once upon a broken heart books🫣
Omg so happy that you posted another book video💕 Btw if you’re looking for a book rec I could recommend you Divine Rivals(Romantasy)I loved that one Lyyy🎉🤌
I didn’t know you were supposed to read caraval before once upon a broken heart 🫠 Should I start it now before I start the second book of once upon a broken heart? Or maybe just do it after I’ve finished the whole series, or just not bother to start it at all? Idk does anyone have any advise :)))
