Was at the Rudston monolith last August with my family and it is awesome to see. Vicar told me it was same size underground too.

Another great informative video, thanks! Have been there, it's well worth a visit. Interesting that the Xtians absorbed it into their consecrated ground, but didn't (dare?) destroy it. See you at Megalitomania 2019 - always a great event!

Look forward to seeing you there! & yes, the monolith dominates the churchyard, but guess they just couldn't or wouldn't move it!

Made me think of Robert Bloch's short story, 'The People of the Monolith' where it is revealed that the monolith extends so far down that it is merely the tiniest tip of an unbelievable prehistoric super-structure...

I've been there, what a place, the power is amazing

An interesting fact: All known megalithic structures were built after the discovery of how to brew beer. Does anyone have an idea why this is so?
On a somewhat related note - why don't lawnmowers come with a built in cup holder on the handle bars? Is it a safety issue?
That lead cap on the top of that monolith is just rude. Have another look at it if you don't think so. Maybe the reason it was put there was as a fraternity joke.

We have lost so many old sites in the British Isles , Ploughed out and felled to make way for crops , buried under years of tree growth , we Must preserve as much as possible of our Ancient history as possible , thank you for the Information , these places must be protected .🙂❤👍

    Amazing thank you.
Definitely an ancient understanding now long forgotten. I reckon the ancients could tap into the earth's energy to promote healing. Makes you wonder what else the human organism has the potential of once instructed!

What are the name of those drums, Foton? I'd like to see more photos of them.
Later : the name is Folkton.

Folkton is correct. I also wrongly called them the 'Folkston' drums in the vid ;)

Is there a known rate of erosion per 1000 year time blocks for the rain to wear down that type of rock, there by dating it?

What are nasty and irresponsible thing to say. Keep your prudish Christian nonsense to yourself. This has more history than every page of the bible fairy tale. Grow up. Prayers are spells so if anyone's demonic it's you.
