Thank you so much for including a “support” category, I think people downplay the support role just because there is a lot of solo content but a good support can be a difference maker for end game PVE and PVP in BDO
I want a pure support class, just like shai but male, there is Wizard which can be a decent support but it's not completely support at all, he has other functions too. I would like that we had more roles in each classes, because it feels like every class can do the same except shai
shai is probably my favorite class in the game, it's definitely not the best but for pve the boomerang is really satisfying to use, and the added carry weight and health bonus make it a really easy class for beginners who might need to tank a couple hits and heal without potions.
I haven't played in years, but Shai, at least back then, was insane for PvE. One of the highest damaging classes in the game. Each boomerang throw hits like 16 times, and each hit does a chunk of dmg. This PvE god had to have a -95% PvP dmg debuff applied because they hit so hard in PvE.
Woosa is fun to play due to her mobility, + (it's a thing for me and other people) her controls are pretty easy. Not even talking about combo, but comparing which buttons you have to use at the same time for Musa and Woosa you see how Woosa has most understandable keys which allows you to learn combos faster. Also it allows you to freely use skills in combat without having need to remember all binds, just easy as F, SHIFT+F, W+F. Gonna see what will be with her awakening though, but even in succession she's nice.

I think Dark Knight is easier then wizard or with tbh. DK was my 1st andi. She was definitely a nice early introduction to Melee skills and to using skills similar to the wizard or witch without being over complicated. I do have both wizard and witch and they where definitely allot harder for me to learn still haven't learned them effectively. If a New player is looking for an easy class that can deal ranged Magical attack and Melee skills I would definitely Recommend DK Awakening I rarely touch her succession unless for pvp and rarely do that. Valk is alil more complicated then warrior but definitely a tank ! Warrior is definitely still decent around though and easy to learn I put him with guardian . You pretty accurate on Zerk , love Zerk. Dark Knight is definitely an easy class all round and decent for almost anything from grinding to PVP she is capable of getting done. I just started a Kuno over ninja because I'm trail she seemed alil less complicated to learn the ninja and I have never been much for Playing these types of classes not really my playstyle but glad I gave her a try absolutely loving Kuno . Woosa def good all around but her in ability to sprint due to teleport when not autopathing is her only down fall but she can still teleport around quickly it takes getting use to but she is absolutely great.
Corsair should be under your solo list. Because of her massive agility and mobility in combat, she can get out of trouble anytime she needs to. With her awakening, she can blow up huge groups of mobs from range, and rarely ever end up in danger.
Agreed! I think she is underappreciated. She is amazing as a solo grinder. After Awakening, she gets even better. Plus, I love the Slippery Scallywag crew.

Why is warrior not in the speed section? They are the fastest character in the game next to musa when their movement is done correct. With kick cancels
witch is a worse version of wizard in any case. But at the moment, any class is able to do anything and win other classes with skill and knowledge, so take the class u prefer instead of the most op, because meta constantly changes. And pve, witch awakening can frontal guard insanely, she can grind higher spots dp required cause of that. And she nasty aesthetics btw
I've been wanting to try out tamer and I was wondering what the pros and cons of playing her are? I've asked some people here and there and often they just don't play because she's nerfed and they don't really elaborate Btw thank you for the video😊
Thanks! Tamer is super fun to play. If things are ever too hard, you can simply jump on your mount and pretty much survive anything! Tamers are fast and can do a ton of damage, but they lack defense and HP. I bet you'd enjoy the class if you rolled it. People say shes nerfed so much just cause she was super overpowered a while ago. She's still good with those old nerfs! The awakening and succession are better at different things too which is fun to switch up.
the most diffcult class in all bdo mind that (and PVE forget about it , the mobility needs update and she has a really small area of attacks) on pvp she can be a monster but the difficulty compared to other classes to do the same damage is a lot harder)
I think awaken Valk is the perfect class for a newer player. You can learn about bdo and go to all monster zones and be fine with just holding down 2 buttons(RMB + SPACE). The most braindead class to play which imo is perfect for beginners. Since BDO is a pretty complex game with all the skills, combo's, guards + super armors + buffs in general it can get overwhelming quickly
This comment is just describing valk as the biggest noob trap. Awakening valk is probably one of the most unforgiving classes in the game, which is ironic because its supposed to be the tank class of the game. TLDR version is you're basically playing full AP leona on league (great all in damage and ways to get in, but you're stuck in there once you commit). In PvE though its pretty good otherwise.
Overall, pretty accurate video, but theres something missplaced, dark knight should be placed too in Ranged Assassins and Speedy soldiers (big mistake shes not there, probably one of fastest classes in game by far, and very reliant of fps and big apm).
Im a returning player (2017? i guess) and i really wanna try out woosa/shai. kinda leaning to shai but would it be harder for me to grind since she doesnt excel that much in attacks and more of like a support character? im playing solo so im so undecided
Shai's still good on her own! Definitely not AS good, but I've seen many level 65+ Shais that seem to crush it. The game definitely helps buff the pve damage for leveling. Make one now and the other on the next season! Make sure to grraduate the character and duplicate the level by using fughars timepiece too. (I have a video on that!)
I'm super picky especially with aesthetics and gameplay and it's hard for me to settle to begin with, but I think one of the biggest barriers to entry for me with this game has been trying to find a class that I'm happy with, lol. I HATE that classes are gender locked. There's more than double the female classes than the male classes and the last 4 (that came out since I've had the game) have all been female. They're all either fighting massive wicked ass monsters in skirts/dresses that seem like they would get in the way and get them killed.. or are nudists with massive fucking weapons that seem like they should keel over the minute anything hits them. While I don't blame people for being into that I've personally just never been into the massive boobie anime aesthetic and that on top of complex combos they have just put me off of making classes like sorc, DK, tamer etc. I'd much rather have a badass looking strong male character over some hyper sexualized anime big booba waifu wearing a rag. And that leaves me like.. 30% of the classes to pick from. Warrior, berserker, ninja, musa and striker are immediately out. I've never been a fan of "physical" classes or rogues. Hash is interesting, but heavily leans towards a rogue thematic like ninja and also felt very clunky for me while I tried leveling one and is very complex from what I've seen. Wizard is definitely more to my preference since I like magic, but in a game with such insane fantasies as DK, sorc, corsair and drak.. a typical mage fantasy feels meh. ..And that leaves me with sage, archer and a very BIG meh in wizard. Archer's magical archer theme is cool, but I've heard he's very spammy because he's so frail that once you reach a certain point in the game most of what you're doing is spamming dodge around enemies because you fall over if you get hit which sounds tedious. And sage from what I'd leveled of him at the time felt pretty shit to play. Granted I'm only really fully interested in him for his awakening since it's a thematic seemingly more on par with drak and such.. but it doesn't help that from what I've read about the class.. he's been omega nerfed and has a problematic kit that ultimately keeps him tied down power level wise anyways which just leads to him feeling very unsatisfying. Sorry for the really long reply lol just needed to vent the frustrations I'm having just trying to even get into the game to begin with, lol.
There's no perfect class, what is ur gear score because if you are willing to spend some time to improve the gear score relative to choosing the best class, that will help you in enjoying and progressing the game. I would say to just stick with a class u semi like and grind till ur 600-620 gs (should be high enough for most contents)and then u can switch to a different main or just create another character all together and move the gears on to them instead.
@@williamguo9939 honestly haven't gotten that far lol I made a nova got to 55 and noped out she looks like a 4 ft tall nun and felt slow/clunky 0 clue how she can carry a big ass shield and swing around a mace (made sure I unlocked the simplified quest line first at least) and this season I came back about a week or so ago and made a hash, but he's just idk. I haven't had to do combos on him yet but the minute I get to a point where I'm going to have to combo and micro manage keeping the +30 AP buff up from his back flip ability (forgot the name) I know I am going to HATE it. I'm like lvl 58/59 and the progression has gotten real unclear. Everyone's saying to quest to 61 so I did some long boring quest line to get the tome for extra quest exp and idk about this. The first guide I found was really unclear it gave a list of quests but just assumes you know how they work I got to a step where it told me to do the next but it wasn't appearing even though I had finished the previous quest even though said previous quest was it's "only" prerequisite and then the next one was a video guide that a lot of people recommend, but was also super annoying to follow because it was just like "go talk to these people then go down this road and there might be this guy but idk because he wanders around and then run over to this area on the map but there might be this one dude you encounter first, but don't take his quest and oh yea it has to be night time for the next part" just super tedious. It kinda burned me out I want to time piece and maybe try like awakened sage but this questing to 61 shit is just not good gameplay and grinding these levels apparently takes forever.
@@jas_elizabeth yea idk a long time ago I almost always played female characters in mmos, but then one day I guess I just randomly decided I much prefer male characters instead. I'm not really sure why, but it's just my preference I know some people enjoy this aesthetic though. But only like ~30% of the classes in this game being male and then at least half of those having really boring thematics that aren't unique and have been played out in any mmo ever is just so lame. And to make it worse the harder classes that are made out to be combo heavy sound so daunting. Of the characters I've played I just really haven't felt the urge to stick with them, but considering how picky I am it's rare for me to find something like that anyhow I suppose, lol.
Haven't played bdo in years, stumbled onto the corsair trailer and she looks super fun. But I'm not sure if she'd be fit my playing style. I play purely for fun to relieve some stress. PVE only, solo only, not a fan of busting my ass off to get the best gear/stats or learning complicated game mechanics. Just hack and slash and enjoy the pretty graphics. So would corsair be a good pick for all that? Used to play lahn, fury and striker, had a great time.
Definitely give her a try- you won't regret it! I'm just about to release a top 10 most fun classes and she made the list. The water leash is super fun to move quickly with

haha the game is hard - i don't blame ya! You start that separation at level 56. the game will give the awakening and succession quest line to your black spirit, and you just talk to him. Goodluck with the game!! Hit me up with more questions :D
I’m still having trouble to find a class to main lol. I’ve played most of them except maybe 5 of them. Rn I’m on woosa and she is boring AF but really easy and strong I just fall asleep grinding xd. I’m thinking of trying dk but when I trialed her she felt REALLY slow. I’m think of trying maehwa again I played her on Xbox for a while but now I think I wanna try her on pc to see if the experience is different

New player here and have been wondering if I should play Woosa or Maegu. Woosa seems to be on the top PvE classes a lot and that sounds good, but people say Maegan is a lot more beginner friendly. I plan to play on Gaming laptop with a controller. What do ya'll suggest?
Both are great, you can't go wrong with either of them! I personally like Maegu's spells a little more. Maegu feels a bit more fast and can pvp a bit better, but woosa is still fast and has a bit more big aoes for fast pve grinding.
Woosa can do some pretty braindead grinding but if you want to play her really well, you need to learn a lot of animation cancels and combos. Maegu is less beefy but can pull off some effortless combos because their abilities blend together so well.

My all time favourite is Valkyrie, maybe you'll like them! They play similar to a paladin. The warrior play similar to them with more speed and damage. Also, riding around as a tamer is super fun too! Striker and Berserker are an engaging, not too fast melee class too.
Valkyrie is my fav class, and she plays kind of like that! More melee than ranged, but still both. Woosa is kind of a mix of melee and ranged, but the ranger can swap between the two depending if you want to use her awakening skills, or her succession skills. Try anything and you can always reroll! They have season servers which makes it easy to transfer all the progress you made on one hero onto another one.
There's SO many good ones! Striker and Maegu seem pretty good at everything. Classes like Ninja and Maewha are scary to approach at end game. It depends though - you can make any type of class work end game.. like wizard!
I’ll elaborate , the combos are easy, because it’s press and hold. But for max uptime on your speed and damage buffs, there’s a optimal rotation. Not doing so, there will be considerable difference in performance . So yeah, it’s easy but not really 😂
I thought striker was hard class to learn for the first time. But when I tried it on premium character and some guide from dc and friends, striker is not really hard to learn but it takes time for mastering because its all about timing.
All of them work! It depends what you wanna do. Melee and ranged feel way different. It is, you can get away with a lot f2p.. but there are whales in the game that get ahead by spending a ton of money. Soo it does have pay to win aspects to it. But it shouldn’t stop you. It’s an awesome game!
At the moment I am looking for a main, I have used hasha for quite some time but I don't quite like it, because in all my games I use archers, and I have wanted to use an archer in bdo but I don't know how good the class is in the meta current, everyone says that it is too nerfed
Dude, eff the meta. you’ll end up finding that the class you love to play is the one you’ll do best at. Life is too short to grind on a class other people tell you what to play. I think archer and ranger is a great choice. Personally I love ranger but archer has a ton of perks that a archer fanatic will love
I hope you find a class you enjoy!! Alternatively I find sage super fun because you can be invulnerable over and over again. But that plays more like a mage. Corsair has ranged options but meta people hate her lol

Wizard is super fun, don’t listen to them! Sage is definitely up there right now. It all changes with balance patches, so play what you want! I wish I could give you a good mage specific tier list.. honestly.. they’re all super good. It’s satisfying blowing things up as any type of mage

If you can get to settings, the tabs on the left say performance settings, display settings, audio settings, general settings and interface settings. In the second last tab, general settings, the second last section in the tab should be language. From there you can google translate each language to find English again. Best of luck !

videos like these are allways useful, but everyone has his own predesposition. as much as i love the aesthetic of the big viking axe lady...and her hard hitting attacks, dk is just my playstyle, i tend to play more complex classes... and as much as drakania is fun to play, if you cant measure up to dk in terms of survivability, overall defense or attackpower, why would i play you...why do you even exist?...buff drakania man, she kinda sucks in pve compared to dk. straightup downgrade unless you are crazy overgeared.
Super duper fast and high mobility. Her ranged AOEs are unique from the other classes I've tried. I'm leveling her up with Woosa rn and they're both a lot of fun.

Started as a Nova main and loved her even more with awakening but damn does Woosa make me question my loyalties Edit: awakening nova is definitely super fast and would fall into the speedy category. I found her difficult to control at first due to how fast she moved 😂

As a Drakania main, the easiest for me is Drakania (succ). AoE for days to nuke down every mob in sight.

Succ zerk is actually an insane class, well succ for easy grinding and simple pvp but awakening is devastating for all pvp tbh

but starting the life skilling on a shai early on isn't a bad idea at all! You'll get a ton more money afk fishing or whatever you prefer to do.

They're all either fighting massive wicked ass monsters in skirts/dresses that seem like they would get in the way and get them killed.. or are nudists with massive fucking weapons that seem like they should keel over the minute anything hits them.
While I don't blame people for being into that I've personally just never been into the massive boobie anime aesthetic and that on top of complex combos they have just put me off of making classes like sorc, DK, tamer etc. I'd much rather have a badass looking strong male character over some hyper sexualized anime big booba waifu wearing a rag. And that leaves me like.. 30% of the classes to pick from. Warrior, berserker, ninja, musa and striker are immediately out. I've never been a fan of "physical" classes or rogues. Hash is interesting, but heavily leans towards a rogue thematic like ninja and also felt very clunky for me while I tried leveling one and is very complex from what I've seen. Wizard is definitely more to my preference since I like magic, but in a game with such insane fantasies as DK, sorc, corsair and drak.. a typical mage fantasy feels meh.
..And that leaves me with sage, archer and a very BIG meh in wizard. Archer's magical archer theme is cool, but I've heard he's very spammy because he's so frail that once you reach a certain point in the game most of what you're doing is spamming dodge around enemies because you fall over if you get hit which sounds tedious. And sage from what I'd leveled of him at the time felt pretty shit to play. Granted I'm only really fully interested in him for his awakening since it's a thematic seemingly more on par with drak and such.. but it doesn't help that from what I've read about the class.. he's been omega nerfed and has a problematic kit that ultimately keeps him tied down power level wise anyways which just leads to him feeling very unsatisfying.
Sorry for the really long reply lol just needed to vent the frustrations I'm having just trying to even get into the game to begin with, lol.
There's no perfect class, what is ur gear score because if you are willing to spend some time to improve the gear score relative to choosing the best class, that will help you in enjoying and progressing the game. I would say to just stick with a class u semi like and grind till ur 600-620 gs (should be high enough for most contents)and then u can switch to a different main or just create another character all together and move the gears on to them instead.

@@williamguo9939 honestly haven't gotten that far lol I made a nova got to 55 and noped out she looks like a 4 ft tall nun and felt slow/clunky 0 clue how she can carry a big ass shield and swing around a mace (made sure I unlocked the simplified quest line first at least) and this season I came back about a week or so ago and made a hash, but he's just idk. I haven't had to do combos on him yet but the minute I get to a point where I'm going to have to combo and micro manage keeping the +30 AP buff up from his back flip ability (forgot the name) I know I am going to HATE it. I'm like lvl 58/59 and the progression has gotten real unclear. Everyone's saying to quest to 61 so I did some long boring quest line to get the tome for extra quest exp and idk about this. The first guide I found was really unclear it gave a list of quests but just assumes you know how they work I got to a step where it told me to do the next but it wasn't appearing even though I had finished the previous quest even though said previous quest was it's "only" prerequisite and then the next one was a video guide that a lot of people recommend, but was also super annoying to follow because it was just like "go talk to these people then go down this road and there might be this guy but idk because he wanders around and then run over to this area on the map but there might be this one dude you encounter first, but don't take his quest and oh yea it has to be night time for the next part" just super tedious. It kinda burned me out I want to time piece and maybe try like awakened sage but this questing to 61 shit is just not good gameplay and grinding these levels apparently takes forever.
@@jas_elizabeth yea idk a long time ago I almost always played female characters in mmos, but then one day I guess I just randomly decided I much prefer male characters instead. I'm not really sure why, but it's just my preference I know some people enjoy this aesthetic though. But only like ~30% of the classes in this game being male and then at least half of those having really boring thematics that aren't unique and have been played out in any mmo ever is just so lame. And to make it worse the harder classes that are made out to be combo heavy sound so daunting. Of the characters I've played I just really haven't felt the urge to stick with them, but considering how picky I am it's rare for me to find something like that anyhow I suppose, lol.

Haven't played bdo in years, stumbled onto the corsair trailer and she looks super fun. But I'm not sure if she'd be fit my playing style.
I play purely for fun to relieve some stress. PVE only, solo only, not a fan of busting my ass off to get the best gear/stats or learning complicated game mechanics. Just hack and slash and enjoy the pretty graphics.
So would corsair be a good pick for all that? Used to play lahn, fury and striker, had a great time.

I’m still having trouble to find a class to main lol. I’ve played most of them except maybe 5 of them. Rn I’m on woosa and she is boring AF but really easy and strong I just fall asleep grinding xd. I’m thinking of trying dk but when I trialed her she felt REALLY slow. I’m think of trying maehwa again I played her on Xbox for a while but now I think I wanna try her on pc to see if the experience is different

New player here and have been wondering if I should play Woosa or Maegu. Woosa seems to be on the top PvE classes a lot and that sounds good, but people say Maegan is a lot more beginner friendly. I plan to play on Gaming laptop with a controller. What do ya'll suggest?
Both are great, you can't go wrong with either of them! I personally like Maegu's spells a little more. Maegu feels a bit more fast and can pvp a bit better, but woosa is still fast and has a bit more big aoes for fast pve grinding.
Woosa can do some pretty braindead grinding but if you want to play her really well, you need to learn a lot of animation cancels and combos. Maegu is less beefy but can pull off some effortless combos because their abilities blend together so well.

My all time favourite is Valkyrie, maybe you'll like them! They play similar to a paladin. The warrior play similar to them with more speed and damage. Also, riding around as a tamer is super fun too! Striker and Berserker are an engaging, not too fast melee class too.

Valkyrie is my fav class, and she plays kind of like that! More melee than ranged, but still both. Woosa is kind of a mix of melee and ranged, but the ranger can swap between the two depending if you want to use her awakening skills, or her succession skills.
Try anything and you can always reroll! They have season servers which makes it easy to transfer all the progress you made on one hero onto another one.

There's SO many good ones! Striker and Maegu seem pretty good at everything. Classes like Ninja and Maewha are scary to approach at end game. It depends though - you can make any type of class work end game.. like wizard!

I’ll elaborate , the combos are easy, because it’s press and hold. But for max uptime on your speed and damage buffs, there’s a optimal rotation. Not doing so, there will be considerable difference in performance .

I thought striker was hard class to learn for the first time. But when I tried it on premium character and some guide from dc and friends, striker is not really hard to learn but it takes time for mastering because its all about timing.

All of them work! It depends what you wanna do. Melee and ranged feel way different. It is, you can get away with a lot f2p.. but there are whales in the game that get ahead by spending a ton of money. Soo it does have pay to win aspects to it. But it shouldn’t stop you. It’s an awesome game!

Dude, eff the meta. you’ll end up finding that the class you love to play is the one you’ll do best at. Life is too short to grind on a class other people tell you what to play. I think archer and ranger is a great choice. Personally I love ranger but archer has a ton of perks that a archer fanatic will love
I hope you find a class you enjoy!! Alternatively I find sage super fun because you can be invulnerable over and over again. But that plays more like a mage. Corsair has ranged options but meta people hate her lol

Wanted to try out Wizard for a long period of time now and I thought the New season would be a good opportunity to make him my season character, but everywhere I am Looking it says that wizard is pretty underwhelming and at a pretty Bad Spot nowadays.. is sage, witch, or any other magic class better ? What would be your PVE Tier List (mage-classes only)?
Wizard is super fun, don’t listen to them! Sage is definitely up there right now. It all changes with balance patches, so play what you want! I wish I could give you a good mage specific tier list.. honestly.. they’re all super good. It’s satisfying blowing things up as any type of mage

If you can get to settings, the tabs on the left say performance settings, display settings, audio settings, general settings and interface settings. In the second last tab, general settings, the second last section in the tab should be language. From there you can google translate each language to find English again.

videos like these are allways useful, but everyone has his own predesposition. as much as i love the aesthetic of the big viking axe lady...and her hard hitting attacks, dk is just my playstyle, i tend to play more complex classes...
and as much as drakania is fun to play, if you cant measure up to dk in terms of survivability, overall defense or attackpower, why would i play you...why do you even exist?...buff drakania man, she kinda sucks in pve compared to dk. straightup downgrade unless you are crazy overgeared.

Super duper fast and high mobility. Her ranged AOEs are unique from the other classes I've tried. I'm leveling her up with Woosa rn and they're both a lot of fun.
