Wow, awesome!!! I just found your channel and I am subscribed!!!!!!! You are a very talented artist and so fun to watch and listen to. I like your personality. Your artwork is just beautiful!!! Thanks a lot for sharing with all of us! You’re a great teacher!!!
Joe just saw this amazing sculpture. I just started to hand build but wondered how long does this have to sit before you take it off to put in the kiln. It is pretty wet at the end. Thanks in advance.
Tina Lynn Fire the sun face. Paint it with acrylics or glaze it, Spray front and back with clear acrylic matt or gloss spray. Thanks for your question.
Put a small overhanging section of clay on the top back of the round surface and hang it on a nail. (Glue will release from the clay with the weight of the sunface.)
Clarification/input from Joe Edwards or other experienced clay artists please..... how do I dry/bake/fire the clay project? Is professional equipment needed? Or will a household oven suffice? If it can be done at home, what type of surface should the item be baked on? A silicone mat? Foil? What temperature, and for how long? Any other sage advice for a beginner? Thanks greatly in advance for experienced input!
Formidable et tellement sympa

It has to air dry. It will change color and be weigh less. It will explode if you fire it with moisture in it.

Joe used low fire white earthenware clay and it has to be fired at cone 04/06 in a ceramic kiln.
