Meet GluCare Co-Founder Dr. Ihsan Almarzooqi

Being a passionate entrepreneur/disrupter, a former olympian, and a scientist with a Ph.D. in gene therapy makes GluCare’s co-founder Dr. Ihsan Almarzooqi a bit different from others.
Ihsan witnessed the failures in the existing healthcare system when it came to his father’s diabetes and how the entire blame and burden of diabetes was put on the patient. Providers were never held accountable.
He decided to re-write the entire methodology of diabetes management starting with the following problem to solve:
How can providers drive superior outcomes in diabetes management at a lower unit cost by fundamentally shifting human behavior in an enduring way?
GluCare plans to disrupt existing models of care for chronic disease. We are re-inventing diabetes care by using a hyper-personalized model of care that merges human+machine - utilizing continuously streamed biometric data combined with human & artificial intelligence to monitor and engage with our patients on a daily basis.
