  • It was great to finally film the ruins and fountains of Castle Carr at the open day...
    • The Ruins and Fountain...
The Castle must have been spectacular at the time, with statues and carvings, some of which still lie in the undergrowth on the site. What WAS removed from the site innthec1960s was a huge fountain from the courtyard. A structure with 4 Talbot hounds, which found its way to a reclamation yard where it remained for 30 years....until it made its way into Leeds City Centre.
As an 'add on' video to yesterday's adventure, I head into Leeds to track down a piece of history that was created 150 years ago.

That's wonderful, would loved to have seen it back in the day. There was a Talbot Hotel in Bradford centre which had two Talbot Dogs standing above the door, there's a piece in the Telegraph & Argos about them.
