    Une époque et des camions fantastiques , qui font plonger dans la nostalgie les conducteurs qui roulais a cette époque révolue a tout jamais . Que d' émotion quand je visionne des vidéos comme celle-ci que des souvenirs . 👍👍👍👍👍

      @@TruckingRubbish yes. That will be good. I'm truck mad. I like the older ones. I was born in the mid 50s and groo up with Leyland's and Guys , Scammalls, AEC, Albion, thornycroft. To name but a few. I also have model trucks of 1:50 scale. They are mainly modern one's I have now. I used to have a large collection of older type's, but I was forced to sale them just after the last foot and mouth academic. It put me out of work, and I needed the money. So I sold my collection so that I could pay my mortgage.

      @Henry Michael Wilson there is something about the old trucks they seem to have heart and soul.
      It's a shame you had to sell them, I would love to see your current collection. If you have Instagram, I am on there as Trucking_Rubbish (I think, haha) feel free to send me a message

      @@TruckingRubbish hello again. I only watch you tube, I don't bother with Twitter, Facebook, or any other of those sites. I'm only on a smartphone and these other fuckers just use up my data. I don't know where you are in the world, but I'm in Clitheroe, Lancashire, England. Maybe you are not far away from me.

      @Henry Michael Wilson I'm based in the southeast, England, so a little way away. There probably is a way of sending pictures on here, but I'm not too tech-savvy haha

    That green and white Scania and volvo must have had massive amounts of room in the cabs .
    The roof extensions look very home made but so long as they didn't leak and made life more bearable for the driver's then good on them for doing it 👍

    • @TruckingRubbish
      @TruckingRubbish  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It certainly looks that way, I really don't blame them, when you look at the amount of room in those cabs it must have been pretty grim.

      That's amazing, thank you for sharing that.
      So much respect for those drivers. Now it's bad enough getting from Cardiff to the UK. I did a trip a while back. I was going from the southeast uk to just outside Cardigan, and it took 9h 30m, and that was in a car, haha

    The blue Volvo unit and drag belonged to a now deceased Middle East Astran driver called John Williams, the truck was called Violet.

    In the 1980-90's there was a BBC documentary that I'm trying to remember. Even find online.
    An hours programme, where a very experienced driver drove an artic from the UK to , say Syria. Normally he'd keep to his employers schedule by judicious use of the local currency: the Malboro. That would get him through customs, passed police and officials. He pointed out the miles of wagons parked in the desert and explained that they had been there for weeks, all waiting for official process if you didn't play the corruption game.
    For the purposes of the programme he agreed to try to embark on a trip without cigarettes and we saw how things quickly deterioated when the locals realised you had noting to sell.
    Can anybody identify the programme please.

      I know, imagine doing the 6-7000km runs in one, with that scorching 40oC desert heat, and not all i saw have Air Con units. And now we are super soft, NO BLOODY AUTO GEARBOX haha
      I have a few books that are full of amazing stories from drivers.

      Very nice an old trucks compilation 👍...i remember 80s and 90s as it was yesterday but with living in the small town in the sought of the Soviet Union we couldn't see these beautiful trucks on the local roads 😁😊...and what a strange white lorry at 0.49 under the British flag..??

    • @TruckingRubbish
      @TruckingRubbish  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Ганибет Муханов thank you for your comment. That truck at 00.49 is a Bedford Marsden.
      It's a shame you didn't see these, but the old soviet trucks amaze me they were unstoppable.

      @@TruckingRubbish Yes, the old Soviet trucks were very reliable and repairable...you could fix them with the minimum tools right on the road far away from city's and service centers 👍...ZIL truck manufacturer now destroyed and there are building's, supermarkets and even swimming pool because land into the Moskaw downtown cost much money ( it's a big business and really big money)
      Experts ( including some foring ) still considering Zil 130 and ZIL 131 (6×6)as a very reliable trucks ever made 👍
      GAZ factory still producing cars
      They even equipped trucks with 6 cylinder air cooled diesel engine from Germans ' Magirus Doice'...this engine assemblies in my country in north- east at the Ust- kamenogosk city...
      It's joint venture Germany--Kazakhstan
      Husbent of my older sister us to drive GAZ 66 onto desert areas
      I was dreaming about being truck or bus driver in my teenager time but due to bad left eye couldn't passed medical test and now us to drive Chinese electro bicycle 😊

    Don’t be fooled by the pictures, if a leyland Marathon did one Middle East trip it was a miracle. If it did two it was a lie. Only Volvos and the odd Scania did repeat journeys.
