I visited Toronto and Niagara Falls in 1967 and have a picture of that clock at the end. Returned to Toronto in 1972, married in 1975 and had pictures taken in Edwards Gardens as every bride did back then!
at 0:42, that's the apartments on Triller Avenue called Parkside Place. My apartment is the top floor furthest on the right! Some great times growing up in that area in the 70s!
NIce vid. I was just walking through Parkdale along King St then west along Queensway. Looks the same west of Jameson as in this video. Man, there are still a lot of lowlifes, dealers, and junkies along King St west of Dufferin. South Parkdale is one of the last holdouts to gentrification.
4:43 and 5:45 - The older of the two observation towers overlooking the Falls, the Heritage Tower (now the Tower Hotel)! I was in Niagara Falls only twice so far...1977 (when the tower was then known as the Panasonic Tower) and May 18-21, 2023! The other tower, the Skylon Tower, was completed in 1965 and was 520 feet high with a revolving restaurant...I've been there both times!
I remember as a young child At the falls While at a indoor bathroom area just behind the front glass door was a cigarette machine You added your money and pulled a handle on the brand you wanted For fun i pulled a Craven "A" handle And a red pack came out Driving home laying in the back Watching the yellow street lamps on the QEW go by
The American falls ran dry in when fears about the erosion of the falls had significant media attention. People were worried that the natural landscape was going to erode, and were trying to prevent that from happening. As such, the American falls were stopped.

Also, I would love to see some railway footage from Toronto like the railway crossings on Lakeshore BLVD & Pottery Rd.
I love Toronto, but I was wondering if you happen to have footage of schools in the city & province in the 60s, 70s & 80s?
