- Led by Luka Doncic's career-high 60 PTS and 21 REB, along with 10 AST, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the New York Knicks, 126-121, in overtime. Spencer Dinwiddie added 24 PTS, 6 REB and 5 AST in the victory. Quentin Grimes tallied a career-high 33 PTS, along with 6 REB and 4 AST for the Knicks in a losing effort. The Mavericks improve to 19-16 on the season, while the Knicks fall to 18-17.

Watching his reaction is honestly just as fun as watching him make the shot.

This is the best game I’ve ever seen in my near 30 years. Kobe’s 81 point game has always been one of the better basketball performances in the last 25 years or so. But this comeback and efficiency from Luka is just historic, and the dude is only 23.

I've don't think we've ever seen a player quite like Luka Doncic. The guy's truly one of a kind. 23 years old, plays as slow as a sloth, putting up historic numbers every season, and has the demeanor of champion-caliber player from the moment he entered the league. Without a doubt, he will be a first-ballot HOFer someday
That's bit of a stretch and seems to be a an echo from bias media. He isn't slow certainly not like a sloth. No one ever can do what he is actually doing. He moves fast but mixes in angles and lateral movement along with other expressions. I agree these added attributes slow him down some but it's unstoppable and he is efficient while mostly always making the correct decision based off of how the defense approaches him.
Luka was already special, but this kind of record, especially at his age makes him unreal! So amazing to watch him play, he's taking over the league with each performance.
and the scariest thing is that he doesn't rely on his body's physicality. The older he gets, the better. Scary

In town for the holidays, parents got me and my 2 younger siblings tickets to this game for Christmas. Was fortunate enough to see this in person. Half the stadium left around 1:30 left, when we were still down by like 10. I almost left, but my siblings made me stay. How glad I am that they did.
This was simultaneously an all time comeback, and an all time performance. A true privilege to have witnessed. Even better to have experienced with my brother and sister. Thank you Luka + the Mavs! I’ll remember this forever

In Texas, Houstonians dislike Dallas teams. However, every once in a while I have to put my dislikes away and embrace the generational talent that Luka is. He is one of the few reasons I even tune in to the NBA anymore. I hope this young man stays in the league for a very long time.

Yes, it is even weird to watch these clips and see, how it is possible to walk in the middle of defence ans score points. It shows, how skilled he is in using his body and creating the paths, because he makes it look so easy. If this was the first time I see basketball, I would say that there is no defence, and sometimes it is true. Exceptional player like Doncic can do whatever he wants.

Lucky. I went to one of Kobe’s last games in 2016. At the last minute he was questionable which was bad cause we drove 6 hours to see him. Long story short he went from questionable to having the most points in his season (38) up to that point. He did it against the young timberwolves and Wiggins/Lavine. People saying why is luka stat padding okay when westbrook was crucified doing it. First of all if you watch his games, he doesn’t force those rebounds and assists like westbrook do. He does everything to win and he didn’t even know he got 60 until he was interviewed post game. That’s a winning mentality. He was so clutch in the final minute until OT as well.

I was getting frustrated watching this game. After Luka's double critical turnovers, I was about to turn it off and start watching Jack Ryan. I changed my mind and decided to see it through. So glad I did, I would have kicked myself if I missed this historical moment.
What’s crazy is how slow he is, he doesn’t have that explosiveness we are used to seeing out of other superstar guards. But he makes it all look so easy, he’s so smooth in everything he does.

For perspective, there have only been 6 players to record a 50 point triple double. Only one other player has ever had a 60 point triple double (James Harden) and Luka had almost twice as many rebounds. On top of the insane 44 second comeback in the fourth. This may be the most impressive individual game in nba history.
