The developer confirmed that Primal Carnage: Genesis will only focused on story, not multiplayer. I am not disappointed.. IF it is an open-world game or have free-roaming,
One of the most scariest introduction to a Dinosaur game ever. I'm just imagining myself as a scientist in that room when the Tyrannosaurus breaks out.
I'm not too familiar with the maniraptors and ornithomimids, but in the case of Yutyrannus Huali, its fossils were found around a region that was far colder than the regions where T. Rex resided. Since it resided in colder areas, it probably needed those feathers to trap heat.
Dinosaurs are one of my favorite things of all time, so seeing a dinosaur game on a console is really refreshing to see after the last one came out ten thousand years ago.
It isn't canceled. They slowed or stop development on it to fix primal carnage (it's on pc and a online multiplayer game). It was left in a broken state and they went back to fix it before continuing with this project. Luckily they outsourced it to another company so they could finish up primal carnage genesis. Unfortunately primal carnage was then just remade into extinction because the project got big and they figured a rebuild would be better.
A return to Dino Crisis? Thank god, I loved that series and I'm glad someone pick up the genre again. Very nice teaser, can't wait to see more. Who doesn't have a fascination with dinosaurs?
You're right about the thumbsticks being easier for some people. That's a matter of what they're used to, and also maybe an issue with relative movement being a simpler concept to grasp. That does not make sticks more precise. Microsoft once tried to make a cross-platform game, and input became the sticking point. Console pros on gamepads, regular PC players on keyboards and mice. Pros got decimated no matter how much auto-aim they were given. This is the power of the 1:1 input from a mouse.
Jurassic World. The story can go like this, the I-Rex was created in a lab, which manages to escape. The lab could look like this and escape just like this.
Yes.The first Primal Carnage was Multiplayer between humans and dinos.Humans were 1st person(only see your hands) and dinos were 3rd person(you see your whole body). Now there making a single player for it.
It's mostly small to medium sized dinosaurs that are thought to have had feathers. The larger ones like T-Rex most likely had feathers that were lost when they became fully grown.
When the T-Rex screamed, I was hoping to hear the roar from Jurassic Park. I know it's Universals property but I think every dinosaur product should license that sound effect from Jurassic Park. It's just isn't the same without it.
I assume you didn't watch the trailer whole way through. 'Cause you can clearly see the following text at the end of the trailer: "Immersive Episodic Single-Player". The original PC-game is a class-based online multiplayer game pitting dinosaurs against humans. It's a FPS/3PS depending which side you're on. It's a 3PS if you are playing as a dinosaur and it's a FPS if you're playing as a human.
Not only was there a beta on PC, but it was also released there and is plugged into Steam. I can personally confirm this being a beta tester myself. There is also extra skins for those on the Primal Carnage website forums and original Donator Skin for the raptor. So likely to be a set of such on the PSN in the future? Partial interest in seeing if they cross platform this like they did with Dust 514 and EVE Online ...
are you one of the developers to the game? i'm just curious, cause from what my friend has told me, who is one of the developers of the games, told me that genesis is not a prequel but is an actual campaign mode to the game
I feel in order for this to work,l the game has to have a great story behind it. It has to have great characters with a good plot, or it's just going to feel like just some random person running around taking their anger out shooting dinosaurs, I really hope that isn't the case
i'm sorry if i sound like a downer here and regardless i'll still hopefully get a PS4 but, frankly, i am not fully impressed. They make new engines but they STILL have lighting problems when they bounce off objects. at 00:23 when you look at the specimens in the back, you can see that blocky moving light bounce off the tubes. Light bounce seems to ALWAYS be an issue in game Engines. They're usually TOO shiny to be convincing. In games like Journey it works, but for this kind of game, no.
this is a prequel to the Primal Carnage witch came out in October and is a online shooter witch has currently 2 gamemodes and 7 total maps so far and mostly free dlc and was immensely successful so the devs made this for the ps4 and possibly the xbox 720
Finally, yes we need graphics to make an L A noir look better and more real, but we need facial recognition and game-play choices more, whether to make you look angry to get a response in the interrogation room. And making every game 1080i. But better picture a Motorstorm with 55-110 vehicles racing, all with a destructible terrain, all with a realistic physics engine, and more pieces that can dent, scrape and break into pieces. And movie licensed games that legitimately don't suck: worth buying.
It's episodic so it will be download based right? So hopefully they have had to tone down the graphics to get a better download size. I'm with you though, nothings wowing me yet, I was really impressed by the scope and detail of the city in the Killzone demo, when the guy is hanging on to the helicopter. Other than that this generation is gonna take a little while to really heat up, we need a Naughty Dog announcement, then we'll see.
In fact, the PC version is Multiplayer Only. This is going to be a whole new experience with, because they will add a Singleplayer. It looks amazing BTW.
People do know that this game is a single player version of the game and also it seems to be a spin off of sorts since it has the title 'Genesis' in the Primal Carnage logo
the entertainment industry is literally starving for dinosaurs. even this small indie project was developed into an episodic adventure with unreal engine 4. i would take basically anything with dinosaurs in it at this point. even better, this game looks fucking awesome.
Most devs do suck in the content department, but there have been some absolutely studding games recently: FarCry 3, Bioshock Infinite and Dishonored being some of the most amazing games I've played in a long time. -Frost
To everyone who likes what they see here: This will be a prequel to an already released multiplayer-only dinosaur game called PRIMAL CARNAGE, you should check it out on steam, and yes: YOU CAN PLAY AS 5 DIFFERENT DINOSAURS (Including the Trex in this video)!
Actually, all maniraptors and ornithomimids are confirmed to be fully coated in feathers. And it is fully likely that large theropods such as T. rex (Not T-Rex) had feathers (not a full coat probably), as shown in the 30 ft. tyrannosaur Yutyrannus.
MAG doesn't have bot support last I checked. I know they have like 256 online player capabilities, but lag is an issue with that... but as for local co-op I don't think they have that option in the game.
That's the path they took with the PS3 but nobody understood and devs kept complaining about how different it was and nobopdy actually managed to harness it's power. Most likely, not gonna happen again. 7 cores to provide 7 independent processes, actually 6 since the 7th is OS reserved. But it was supposed to allow for better physics, AI and everything not graphics-related.
BF4 doesn't need better graphic their fantastic already, what it needs is performance to up the beat, where you can fight against and alongside more people, on bigger maps with more chaos all around to keep things interesting. If you feel like your a pawn on a much bigger chess board then they've accomplished the task of making it feel like a war.
well yes, but have you looked inside the machine that what solution it favours that the games can use, the machine supports for the use of development ?
The developer confirmed that Primal Carnage: Genesis will only focused on story, not multiplayer. I am not disappointed.. IF it is an open-world game or have free-roaming,
Where is it?

I did look up some gameplay footage from the PC version and it does look like a ton of fun! Looking forward to it!
Yeah just wait till you hear its canceled
goosebumps to hear the roar of the Trex again after Jurassic Park
So... Probably this game is already cancelled, thank you Lukewarm Media!
EDIT: It will most likely never see the light of day from recent news.
The game is not canceled. For now, the people of Lukewarm Media said the game is on hold and want to focus on the original game.
It isn't canceled. They slowed or stop development on it to fix primal carnage (it's on pc and a online multiplayer game). +Enzo Rial And why Is that because right now I'm a little Pissed
It got canceled

Yeah.... Dino Crisis.....
They said that this game is still on hold, so it's NOT cancelled. If you don't agree with me, then you're wrong.
+Cha Cha Fan It's on indefinite hold though, which means they currently have no plans on completing it.
I guess you're wrong :p
You're right about the thumbsticks being easier for some people. That's a matter of what they're used to, and also maybe an issue with relative movement being a simpler concept to grasp. That does not make sticks more precise.

Oh wait....
When is it released? This was 5 years ago and I haven't heard anything about it.
2 things i want to know, 1... is primal carnage genesis coming out for PC?... 2.. when will it come out?
Yes and 2018
3001 seems like
Yes.The first Primal Carnage was Multiplayer between humans and dinos.Humans were 1st person(only see your hands) and dinos were 3rd person(you see your whole body). Now there making a single player for it.
when they'll get him out the video ps4 in March 13, 2013 and 2015 already can not wait more
+alejandrina reyes it was canceled............
Awwww look at it's cute tiny little arms..
What happened to this Game !?!?
It's on indefinite hold which means that they have no plans on finishing the game
They cancelled it
Awesome. But all I need a small part of gameplay I wanna know who will you play with the dinosaur or people or what ?
Did this Game get canceled?
Total ImpactGaming yes
Look at that T-Rex's little arms. No matter how menacing a T-Rex may be just imagine it trying to make a bed
todays 2016 but they still didnt release this game
just like gang beasts.......
Just like gang beasts.... Yeah i wanted that game too for the PS4. But it never came. Primal carnage Extinction isnt even out on the PS4 in Denmark :(
DkmarcusDk dude i also live in denmark so where can you buy pce
Hvad mener du med PCE?
DkmarcusDk primal garnage extinction
goose bumps, goose bumps, so much goose bumps :D. Specialy when he roared at the end.
it's 2019~
Dammit I was reading this as Primal Rage now ive gone and raised my expectations unnecessarily
2018 where is it
2019
2020
It's mostly small to medium sized dinosaurs that are thought to have had feathers. The larger ones like T-Rex most likely had feathers that were lost when they became fully grown.
2020...
This is going to be one.HUGE.leap for dinosaur video games.
But they have it on indefinite hold
It’s 2020 and it never came
The primal carnage video is awsome, the lighting is gorgeous, if this is how it`s gonna look in game, and the gameplay is fun, i`ll get it for sure :)
Jurassic Park was a good movie and this looks like it will be as well.[ thumbs up for Jurassic Park]
primal carnage is a online shooter that came out in 2012 for the pc, amazingly fun game to play, and this is the prequel to it.
Aw, for a minute there I thought it was Primal Rage finally getting a remake.
When the T-Rex screamed, I was hoping to hear the roar from Jurassic Park. I know it's Universals property but I think every dinosaur product should license that sound effect from Jurassic Park. It's just isn't the same without it.
Nice! Is this in-game footage or pre-rendered???
I'd expect 720p for this game. It's just far less taxing on game hardware, but that doesn't mean games wont do 1080p.
Go Lukewarm! I loved Primal Carnage on the PC, hope this version is as good as the last.
Finally a game were you get to be the monster that breaks any thing in there path
who else cry's every time :(

2:03 still the best t rex roar I've heard
are you one of the developers to the game? i'm just curious, cause from what my friend has told me, who is one of the developers of the games, told me that genesis is not a prequel but is an actual campaign mode to the game
Me too :3 I ever wanted Dino Crisis back since I played Dino Crisis 2 :D
Nice! i love dinos looking forward to play it on my PS4 when it comes out
When will the primal carnage be in ps4 and which stores?
Unreal Engine is going to be unbelievable! Those water physics!
I feel in order for this to work,l the game has to have a great story behind it. It has to have great characters with a good plot, or it's just going to feel like just some random person running around taking their anger out shooting dinosaurs, I really hope that isn't the case
signature move of a T-rex
1st: break a fking glass or a tree
2nd: horn like a boss or something
3rd:look at the prey
So...it's 2018, late January...yeah... so anyway, where's this game? Will it even be released? *the plot thickens*
Snake Halvain it’s been canceled unfortunately.....
It was mostly the smaller to medium sized dinosaurs that had feathers. The larger dinosaurs just had scales.

That`s how you can play Primal Carnage in the MP version on PC. It`s super fun to play.
this is the single player portion that was dropped out long time ago, but now it's almost here

No, it's a prequel to the multiplayer-only game called Primal Carnage which is already out on steam and made by the same company.
That moment when you realize that its normally a human in the dinosaurs place and aliens (and alien tech) where the humans (and human tech) is.
I will be getting this and I will be seeing Jurassic Park 4. Dinosaurs are one of my favorite things.
Not only that, but some variations of Tyrannosaurs may have been feathered like the Velociraptor.
Well turning is a hassle with mouse, but is very precise while controllers just aren't but I don' mind either. Just mouse is preferred.
People do know that this game is a single player version of the game and also it seems to be a spin off of sorts since it has the title 'Genesis' in the Primal Carnage logo
i love dinosaurs so this game looks awesome
So thats where the Turok dinosaurs came from.
THANK YOU! Finally someone who knows anything about carnivorous dinos!
My same exact thought as well. Was hoping to see that old health bar.
Mrarthas96 is right videogames should be about gameplay not about a scenematic visuals or thematic experiences... That's what movies are for.
the entertainment industry is literally starving for dinosaurs. even this small indie project was developed into an episodic adventure with unreal engine 4. i would take basically anything with dinosaurs in it at this point. even better, this game looks fucking awesome.

Actually Heihachi Mishima held dinosaurs without problems in a secret island (Alex, Roger, Gon)... but miserably failed in holding his relatives :-D
It's used as an example not as a direct comparison to the video or game being promoted.
T-Rex is like: nuh uh uh, nuh uh uh, you didn't say the magic word!
Awww the T-Rex looks adorable.
Do we get to play as the dinosaurs or some random guy with some guns?
To everyone who likes what they see here:

Pretty sure it will. The current Primal Carnage almost looks like this already
MAG doesn't have bot support last I checked.
I know they have like 256 online player capabilities, but lag is an issue with that... but as for local co-op I don't think they have that option in the game.
Not all of them Possibly, but Some of us Dino fans prefer the "Dinosaur" feeling of having scales like lizards such as JP.
That's the path they took with the PS3 but nobody understood and devs kept complaining about how different it was and nobopdy actually managed to harness it's power. Most likely, not gonna happen again. 7 cores to provide 7 independent processes, actually 6 since the 7th is OS reserved. Looks great, can`t wait to see more. Dinosaurs will always get my attention.
This is gonna be a good game can't wait I hope we play as the allosaurus
It's an indie game though, that's pretty damn impressive for an indie developer.
Billion dollar worth of lab equipment, $200 worth of security = Primal Carnage is born
imagine there are dinosaurs in both the BF4 and MGS:ground zeroes trailers tomorrow.
Had to look at the title twice I thought is said Primal Rage, I was damn their bringing that back!
well yes, but have you looked inside the machine that what solution it favours that the games can use, the machine supports for the use of development ?
