- Storyline:
+ Simba goes talk with Scar, his uncle, and questions why he never had a family or a cub. Scar decides to tell him the story of his past, even if Mufasa had forbidden it.
+ It starts off with Mufasa inauguration as the new King. Scar is their to support his brother and Sarabi
+ He reveals that when he was young he met a lioness and they fell in love. Because she was from another pride Scar knew their love wouldn't be accepted and plans to run away, but the lioness says that they must stay on their prides.
+ As time goes on they have a cub. Mufasa gets angry and exiles the lioness, who asks if she can give her son to Scar in order to have it growing up in a safe place. Mufasa agrees.
+ and Kovu develop a very deep relation (they play, Scar teaches him to hunt, etc.) until Simba is born. (Mufasa is reminded of him when he sees them in the crowd during the presentation of Simba) Not willing to let his son have a cousin from another pride (mufasaa hated him because his mother was not from the same pride and mufasa is just that much of an asshole), Mufasa goes to kill the cub. Scar retaliates but fails and ends up with his characteristic scar. And you can see the rest.

Older Simba, Mufasa = Mufasa
Nala, Sarabi = Sarabi
Kiara = Lioness from another pride
Cub Kovu = Scars son
Younger Simba = Simba
Blarg. I tried to get rid of the scar on kovu as best as I could throughout the video until he was suppose to have it. But it was kind of a fail due to the filters, it just didn’t look right but whatever.
I hope you guys enjoy it cause it took forever and I kept getting harassed for not finishing it yet cough*Dell*cough . Anyways, the story is actually one that Dell thought of.. I just made the video cause I can’t come up with stories on my own anymore hahah
And there was too much masking needed half way through till the end and I couldn't handle it anymore and Dell who graciously (or desperately xD) masked like 3 things for me and I'm so grateful

This would have made much more sense in the movie plot for Scar's hatred towards his brother. Too bad Disney tends to sugarcoat EVERYTHING.
The hatred is explained in a book. Because he was essentially ignored by their father and his name was literally "Garbage/dirt" he decided his name was Scar after trying to kill his brother in an attempt to get their father to realize he had two sons after he called off a hunting trip last minute. After that Scar lead some kind of group meant for defending the pride and gained a sacred ability that made the previous leaders roar with him when he did, which he lost when he killed the entire group he was meant to be leading because they wouldn't help him overthrow the king. So there is an explanation, it just isn't featured in the movies. Essentially, Scar wasn't loved as a cub and because of that he grew up hating his father and brother.

This is still SUCH a masterpiece of editing, even years later I still think nothing has come out that could compare. Genuinely so happy that I helped bring this to life, but even happier you made it real as the masterpieve that it is
Ow, right in my childhood feels. ;w; I always felt bad for Scar as a kid when I saw the movie even though he killed Mufasa and this just brings back the sympathy I had for him as a child and it hurts so much. I wish Disney gave Scar this kind of backstory because the feels are just so enormous that I want this to actually be canon despite how terrible it may make me as a person!
A backstory would of been amazing, but unfortuntely we will never get anything but fan theories
I thought he did have a backstory. mind it's not in movie format, but from what I've heard there's a series of books and that actually explains his story and scar. I honestly don't blame scar for like hating his family,all things considered (all gain. to my knowledge)

Plot twist: Scar actually finds his cub (barely) alive and gives him to Zira so he can be better protected from Mufasa and lead a somewhat normal life
Even bigger plot twist: the cub's mother really is Zira before she's exiled and he just gives him back to her (I know the lioness aka Kiara and Zira don't look anything alike but still)
if kovu is scar's son then simba and kovu are cousins and zira is simba's auntie

Zira is not the mother of Kovu. Scar hated Zira. She was most evil and had a pshcotic annoying crush on him. Once he went into exile, he found a sweet kind hearted outland lion who looked like an adult Vitani, and had the same fur color. Even in the lion king 2 some of the lions in the Outlands, looked like Vitani but darker fur. Anyways, she helped Scar become a more peaceful soul, and forgiving and remorseful. He didn't want to interfere with Pride Rock anymore. Zira hated this and killed them both. Never telling Kovu (the new born of Scar and his Outland wife), the truth.

If only this were canon. It would be a really sound backstory that would actually explain Scar's hatred for Mufasa as something more than petty jealousy. It would give Scar a valid reason to be angry with Mufasa. Not only that, but it would give Scar a strong relationship with Simba, as he would remind Scar of the cub he lost all those years ago. It would also help Simba have sympathy for his dear broken uncle, and make them closer.

This is a new kind of awesome! 0-0 The colouring was beautiful and the song fitted so perfecly with the storyline. The maskings though? OMG! Every single masking was flawless. That must've taken forever O-O You and Dell are very talented editors ^-^

I think that the song is one of the most important elements to a crossover cause it helps set a tone emotionally for the video. and YESSSS they were such a pain which is why when dell was forcing me to finish it all last night she so kindly helped do the maskings. But hey at least once you do them you have them forever.

Each scened combined with the song and the effects and the masking. I just can't take that much of awesomeness. I apologize for everytime I rushed you about this, because now I understand how much time you actually had to spend to do this. Awesomeness like that should never be rushed.
I love how creative you are when it goes to using scenes of them. Like when the cub is born and Scar (Kovu) looks down a little confused and the baby is scared but then they all go like awwwnn and it's just ugh. Too cute.
It's still a little hard to picture Scar actually having a romance but YOU DID IT. I never really liked Mufasa (He's like mister Perfect. Meh) so yeah I loved to see him as the bad, heartless guy. *ANDICANTBELIEVEYOUDIDNTCHANGETHEDESCRIPTIONISENTYOU LOL*
How are you so talented with voiceovers. I mean HOW. I mean WOW. I can't. Whenever I use them they turn into crap but in your videos I can hear both the voiceover and the song what is just too amazing.
On the scene when Mufasa arrives and sees them with the baby, that just was so frickin real! I nearly couldn't believe how well you picked the scenes! Scar trying to make Mufasa calm down and the baby scared there OMG.
WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO MAKE THE BABY WANT TO FOLLOW SCAR?? That just made it like a thousand times sadder ;-; Because the poor little thing loved his father and the poor look on his face ;-; And look, Scar did have emotions once! The way he's just so sad when the lioness goes away, it breaks my heart.

2:44 That part. Scar is annoyed but then he's like "Hum. I like this guy" and you can *feel* the love in between them.
I totally didn't expect the scene of the baby and Timon. It was just amusing and amazing at the same time, I don't know, it came out of nowhere but it FITS. You are just so creative!
Scar's look at 2:59 just ugh. He's like SO ADORABLE WITH HIS BABY. LOOK HOW MUCH HE LOVES HIS BABY. HE'S PROUD OF HIS BABY.
And like it all just gives me the idea of they being together all the time what makes it too good and the relationship just flows so naturally and so amazingly, I love it so bad.
The baby smiled and didn't notice Mufasa's bad intentions but Scar did. He looks just so scared and worried BC HE LOVES HIS BABY SO MUCH. I can't believe you put so many little details, you are a genious!
And when the baby is left all by himself because Mufasa hits Scar, he looks so little and undefended, like there's nothing left to do for him because Mufasa won't stop ;-; Then Scar wakes up and you know what the worst part is? Scar doesn't wake up when it's too late. He wakes up when his son is still alive. HE COULD HAVE SAVED HIM. Do you know how many feels that part gives me? He could have! If only!
And I wonder if he saw the dead body when he looked between the trunks. Like OMG I feel so sorry for him because now it is too late! Like *if only*.
And I can't describe the epicness of when he gets his scar, like, I just can't. It was too good. And the transition with the scars was just amazing! It was really the perfect way to show the flashback is over and, I don't know, the transition using the scars is just it: perfect.
Scar's very last expression, ugh, I love it. You gave Scar some feelings. I never thought it would be possible. I love how he's a little startled after he sees his dead son. But I can understand it. XD.
Other than that, nothing left to say. Except: It's ok about the glitches, and I don't think the audio at the end was that bad. I just think the baby has a very feminine voice lol. Poor thing. It sure was fun to play him here, and what do you mean it ain't happening again? *OF COURSE IT IS MUHAUHA*. Oh, you are welcome about the masks, it was my pleasure to be part of such amazing video :D

I don't really understand this story but it is quite touching.
I think it's because scars cub when it grew up it had a choice to fight Simba and become king or leave and scar probably would have wanted his son to be king so mufasa killed him so Simba would stay king and not fight scars cub

It is a great crossover, with an original storyline and also a cute editing style, these half black and white clips are so beautiful. The maskings are wonderfully made, precise and well done.
