Larry David is probably the best person in the entire world. He never ceases to make me laugh uncontrollably whether it be in his shows or interviews. I need a new Curb season in my life
+Davon85J - He's definitely a truly fantastic guest at any talk show or interview! And yet he's totally neurotic about it when he has one of these things coming up ("It ruins the entire month for me.")
By far the best Larry David interview. He asked him original, interesting questions and not the usual crap like "is Curb's Larry the real Larry?". Kudos to Kevin Pollak.
I love Larry David and this was a great interview. He and all those he attracts to him - everyone involved with Seinfeld and Curb - have made my life better with lots of laughter. Also...Larry never seems to age. What's his secret?
Great chemistry here, I so love a fast forward naturally flowing conversation, with lots of grins, smiles, and laughter in between. It's the first time I'm watching some of Seinfeld, in my life, ha!
Plus, he doesn't tell the stories repetitiously. The telling is different each time, in my experience of seeing him in interviews. He's extremely clever. Yes, he is very sincere and thoughtful.
At the 35 minute mark Larry says what I had been thinking all along... for no particular reason other than a jonesing for Larry, I have been on an LD interview kick and I just want to say how refreshing it was to hear something different in the interview. So far in the first half hour 95% of the discussion was completely unheard of from any other interview. Kudos and thanks to Kevin P. You've earned a new viewer. By far the best LDavid interview on the Interwebs. Now if you'll excuse me so I can go back to this fantastic Q&A cuz I can't wait to hear what new things I have in store for one of my favorite showbiz icons
I will always feel lucky that I grew up in my formative years with Conan and Larry David. Timeless legends. I also feel compelled to add that I have probably seen every interview/podcast with Larry David and this is the one I have watched more than once. It truly is the best interview I have seen Larry do, and that's saying a lot. And its not an outlier, I find most of the interviews you have done are the best of whatever person is on that episode.
This is hands down one of the funniest and most enjoyable episodes of this show that I've seen. Never have seen tons of Larry David as himself. Never knew he would make me laugh so much. Fantastically hilarious.
This is simply the best show with an interview format out there. And what an amazing degree of growth in Kevin's skills between the first episode and this one.
As a bald man myself, I strongly support the brotherhood, and I am firmly anti-indoor-hat. It is so painfully obvious. I do, of course take the sensible precaution of wearing a hat in the sun. Why do men worry? Bald is good! I've never met a woman who gave a damn.
@@gregoryadkins2213 If he were in a restaurant, a synagogue, or another formal setting, yes, that'd be inappropriate, IMO. But this is on his show, and if recall, Norman Lear wore a funny little hat everytime I saw him on TV.
I can't believe Larry is 70! I thought he was just an out of shape man in his upper 50's, but he is amazing for 70! And kevin, great Woody Allen impression! Loved this interview!
Yeah, your right, that did sound a little back-handed on my part. I guess what I meant was I was surprised he was 70 since I just assumed he was approx Jerry Seinfeld's age. Always thought Jerry looked younger than Larry and now realized there was a reason for that. Yes, Larry is in great shape, physically, mentally, and comically! Thanks for the Gentle reminder Evan.
Larry is so damn hilarious. He is one of the funniest people I have ever seen. He is a comedy genius. He is so real with everything. Thank you Larry David.
Larry, you put on script everything that we in our 40s- 60s feel. You say and do everything that we say and feel that we don't have the gumption (or chutzpah) to say. Thank-you, Larry! We love you!!! DeAnna Howe
Craig Ferguson - best televised talk show. Kevin Pollak - best and only actual talk show. Where the guests actually have a talk with the hosts. I am so glad this thing exists and so thrilled it's not on TV.
+mackeymkay I agree, this was probably the best interview I've seen with LD. Just saying Howard Stern is another one who actually has interesting conversations with guests and gets them to really open up.
+mackeymkay Craig Ferguson is just one grown man with an accent acting all cutesy to charm Americans. He wasn't prepared in his LD interview, and had to go all gooey and cute again to get by, and it showed.
+mackeymkay Kevin is a great host. I remember another one from yesteryear and that was Tom Snyder, He too asked good questions and actually listened to the answer. On the other hand the worst host ever is Bill Oreilly.
I'm just a Protestant white guy from the South, but there's a vibe about Jewish/NYC humor that really strikes me as being the heart of all American stand-up. I guess it goes back to Vaudville and the early days of radio. Then 3 Stooges through Mel Brooks' and Woody Alens' heydays. I mean, you have the Irish/Catholic influence of Carlin, too, as well as the whole "When Stand-Up Stood Out" crew out of Boston, also Irish/Catholic, but you really appreciate what being sort of the underdogs in the past fostered in both stand-up comedy and Marvel and DC Comics. What gives? And look how a pre-Internet movie like "Mr.Saturday Night" gave rise to a common catchphrase on FaceBook and TH-cam...."You see what I did there?"/"I see what you did there".
@@yuckyool Well, to me, there's something about the Jewish humor, the laugh with a tear in hiding underneath, the Weltschmerz sort of vibe, that is definitely something..... different, compared to all other forms of humor.
The best Larry interview by far. Larry definitely inherited being "unintentionally funny" from his ma....for sure. The SNL quiting story is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. I reject the premise of the question, I definitely will incorporate that line into my life...

Excellent show. Kevin Pollack's chemistry with Larry David was fun to watch, and I enjoyed how they riffed off each other's Q and A. (Especially enjoyed Kevin Pollack's impressions). The people slightly off camera also brought some interesting energy to the discussion. Good stuff.
10 years ago and I haven't read all the comments, but doesn't Larry look the same? He never ages! Trick is to stop aging when you're YOUNG! LD, of course, waited a little too long. 💃
The part saying he asked to just go to the stage to start talking, haha, "have you done comedy before ?" "no", how hard it is, you just go and start talking. So much laughing.
Great interview, thank you! Larry David is the man, him and George Carlin just get me laughing crazy amounts. I don't think I could have kept a straight face or stopped laughing if I was doing this interview with LD lol.

I'm surprised Larry didnt confront Kevin about hiding his membership in the bald community, with the fedora.
