    It is so satisfying to check things off the list. Bonus when I can check off something on the newest task list!

    I don't have my tree up still holding out, but I also am trying to embrace fall as long as possible. In America, people are skipping Thanksgiving (Social media/TH-cam) and I find that really sad. I usually put my things up around Thanksgiving now because I am handicapped from an acute stroke so everything takes me longer. Plus, I have a wee grandson that comes when my son is at work a few times a week so I like to decorate. He likes it too! xx

      P.S. "Black Friday" is an internet thing. Growing up (and working in retail in my younger years) it was called "The Day After Thanksgiving Sale" and it happened the day after Thanksgiving Day. Not all month long.

      How special to have a little one in the family to share the joy of decorating with! I've loved celebrating Thanksgiving in the past in the US with my family there and couldn't ever imagine them just 'skipping it'! We watched the Day After Thanksgiving Sales on TV with them reporting on all the lines at the malls etc and yes, it was before 'Black Friday' was a 'thing'! We have a similar thing here with the Boxing Day (day after Christmas Day) Sales.

      @@theseasonaltouch I am glad you have celebrated our Thanksgiving here in America. My cousins almost didn't get back to Ayr one year as a snowstorm hit Metro Detroit when they were visiting! I would love if we celebrated Boxing Day as well. It makes so much sense to have afterwards. Cheers!

    Thank you for making these videos! I have my Christmas tree up already! Many of us in 🇨🇦 already put our trees up Nov. 1.

      @@theseasonaltouch In Canada, we celebrate our Thanksgiving in October and have already seen snow falling. This past weekend we have turned our clocks back by an hour for our annual time change. It now gets dark around 5 pm so our Christmas trees really brighten our spirits.

      Oh I can so relate to that. Here in Scotland we put our clocks back 2 weeks ago and yes, dark around 5pm here now too. No snow though! Can’t wait to get those twinkle lights up 🙌

    I am finding your videos entertaining, useful, and calming. It’s like I’m looking at what Christmas could be through your eyes and it just seems so delightful!!! 🎉

      Aww Melissa what a lovely comment, thank you! ❤️ I absolutely love that you’re finding them calming as one of my main reasons for doing them was to hopefully get rid of a lot of the stress that goes with the season. It can be overwhelming for us all, including me, but, as with a lot of things, I always find it less so when I’ve got a plan to work to. So glad to have you tuning in!

    I am checking things off my list and it is nice to be on top of things. Thank you! Customs do vary by regions and countries. The peace and joy outshine it all.

    Thank you so much for the great content. I guess no matter where you live in the world (I’m in New Zealand) you take away what resonates. I look forward to next week’s instalment.

      Hello to you in beautiful NZ! Wow, it feels as though your experience of Christmas must be so different to ours in the northern hemisphere and yet you’re absolutely right, much of it is exactly the same. Thanks for taking the time to let me know you’re enjoying it and welcome to the tribe! ☺️

    Wow I was really enjoying your videos.... Until this one because it started off by making me feel bad for having my trees up early some years... Some years that really helps with my depression.... Some years they are put up really late usually because physical pain causes the delay... Can't believe you can be so judgemental about something that does no one else any harm at all😢

    • @harley8680
      @harley8680 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think she was trying to convey that in Scotland most people do NOT put their tree up until the first week in December. She also added that the "American influence" was making people there also put their trees up earlier. If you think about how much social media pushes decorating (putting it up before Halloween) it is sad. Each person is different. I don't think she meant harm by her statement. I agree with you that the tree is a wonderful thing. Next year, I may try to have a Halloween tree, then Thanksgiving, and finally Christmas! Cheers!

      You have my sincere apologies @bloodcoveredprincess. It absolutely was not my intention to judge anyone who chooses to put their tree up early and I really am sorry if that's how it came across. I was really thinking about how customs can be so different in different countries and how they change over the years but I can see why my comments may have made you feel bad. One thing we undoubtedly agree on is that decorating for Christmas brings us joy, whenever you choose to do it.

      Some people are so nit picky. If @bloodcoveredprincess had been watching, she’d have seen that Lynn had a smile on her face when she said it, as it was meant tongue-in-cheek. Vlogs are generic, meaning they’re for everybody - influencers can’t stop and think about every possible type/group of person that might be watching. Great vlog Lynn; please keep ‘em coming! 😊
