Now I am not sure how to switch from ICICI regular to direct plan in other service providers without additional charges and additional exit loads!!! We have to pay tax on everything irrespective of type of shares.. if the capital gains in 1 year is less than 1 lakh then no tax if it's more than 1 lakh flat 15% irrespective of income slab

Good explanation bro, i have a doubt is there any tax for mutual funds
They are different taxes for different types of mutual funds and on the holding period. Equity funds less than 1 year holding is taxed at 15% and more than 1 year holding taxed at 10%, but only if profit is greater than 1 Lakh in financial year. This 1 lakh includes all equity mutual funds and stocks profit also.
Debt funds irrespective of holding period are taxed at tac slab rate.
