I forgot to add but you can press all four arrows at once during playback to get to the visualizer. Please subscribe if this video was helpful for you!
You earned my sub from this video alone... ...Amazing tips/hacks! I might have benefited fromthem in a different order but it makes sense now after seeing your explanation (with your live example). Thank you *SO* much! ❤ I'm still running mine on stock. Does the visualisor work with stock settings or only with the 3.0+ firmware update? Thanks so much for this video - I didn't know about a few things here which I know I'm gonna utilise now!!!
@@RaverOperator Yes it works on all versions! Glad the video was helpful, I’m trying to get setup to make more videos soon but I’m in the midst of rearranging my bedroom to setup a dedicated space and still waiting on a few things in the mail but stay tuned :)
@@equinoxambient dude, seriously, I just started some holiday time to do something similar. I've also got a small space to work with, but regardless, what you've done here is really neat and clean should you wish to keep it as a compact set up and upload combo: it works already!! Looking forward to more from you in due course, don't rush yourself! All the best 👍👍👍
Using my M8 for over a month quite actively and still found a couple of useful things in this short video, namely moving chains and deep copying. Huge thanks!
Thank you so much!!! it’s awesome to see there are still people out there who really know how to teach, like you! Big kudos! If you ever make a video on how to connect and sync the M8 and Digitakt, that would be amazing!
Thats very helpful, ive had my M8 for a while and i love it, but one thing i want to know is how do you get that screen of waveforms on playback that i see people do in videos?
yes I tried ✨ the thing is that I'm looking to loop the randomness, but also to be able to reroll the dice with these parameters easily (like the fill function of the Polyend Tracker)
@@basildenereaz7731 Ah I see. You could try adding in the NTH fx which is similar to a conditional trigger. It won't be exactly what you are looking for but it will get you close when combined with chance and random. There are some really great videos on YT for generative sounds done like that on the M8 that would really help you out. Check out @stateazure as an example.
[Opt]+[Right] to randomly generate a note sequence. Select both note and velocity to random velocity This is new in the latest firmware! I believe you have to select the note column (and you can select the velocity column for a random velocity as well).
Hi thanks for the video, very useful! Two Questions Is there a way to nudge a group of notes up or down? Is there a way to insert a step, without overwriting it? Tired of deleting the original notes and pasting them further down.
I can't get midi to work with my TT-303 Bass Bot and my tracker - both set to channel 1, and got an the cables in except usb. It's set for midi, but i couldn't get it to work with usb+midi either. Does anyone have the same combo and can shed any light on troubleshooting this?
Thing is still sold out, a year later. I was on the pre-order list two years prior to release, never got an email, and no notices about the release date. Begining to doubt that this company is capable of being serious. I will take my money to Polyend instead, that’s just disrespectful.
Or you could get in contact with em yourself, or jump on the discord and interact with them and the community? Seems less depressing than doing nothing and feeling sorry for yourself.

"deep cloning" tip vital. So many times i have my LSDJ mindset and accidentally edit things I didn't intend to. Thanks!
nice one. glad to see some m8 stuff pop up on my home recommendations.
Thanks! I hope it helps out, the M8 is fun device.
I really appreciate the hell out of this video! So much so, I had to buy a dedicated M8 notebook to make notes! 😂
New user here, this was super helpful. Knew a few of em already but couldn’t remember them, so the refresher was useful!
Thanks for the shift+edit fill trick. Works both with FX and with notes.
Thank you!
Very appreciated
very useful!thanks for sharing!
Sweet thank you! It always takes me a bit to remember combos
This is awesome. Thank you for this.
Awesome and easy to follow explanation! Thanks so much! 😎
Thanks!

Is there a way to set the root key on a sample?
🙏
This video is a lifesaver! Thank you 🙏
Super helpful, thanks!
SO helpful. Thanks.
It would be so awesome if this unit was still available to purchase...
Did you check their website? They are back in stock.

Push all four arrow keys at the same time during playback!
@@equinoxambient thanks!
Thanks mate! Do you know if there is a shortcut to randomly fill? Or maybe to randomly change the value of some selected items?
You can use the random and chance FX for this.

Two Questions

Yes you can! Select them, then hold edit I believe (might be option) then use the arrows.
Do you know where to change the settings so the bookmark chats change colour?
I get notification it's done, only no visual change...
Does anyone make a print out of these keypress combinations?

Is there an "undo" shortcut??
Most of the time just hit option again I believe.

There was a new preorder this past Monday, and will be another in a few weeks. Just keep an eye on the product page.
