Enjoy your videos. I think you shouldn't feel bad about your grocery budget or the number of people in your household compares to someone else and their budget. Your family's needs and wants are different from others. Do what's good for you.
I think you get to a point with shelf stable and frozen foods where you have accumulated a buffer of food. Then it is shopping sales to fill that in and buy perishable items. I save a lot of $$ that way, but my shopping cart looks really random when i get to the checkout.

Also, I watch Frugal Fit Mom as well, and while it’s cool she saves so much money, I agree with the other commenter. Every family has their own needs and wants and it’s all fine. I also get the feeling that she spends a lot of time in stores for that(and also looking for ads/sales etc) I try to spend minimum for my family as well, and it’s pretty hard work if you’re really committed. I’ve been experimenting with getting sales in 4 or 5 different stores lately and it just takes a lot of time. No gas though, I only have a bicycle (Netherlands) but yeah, it’s investing time and that is something you might not be able to do. I am, currently, thus the experimenting. But I also like the occasional impulse buy, like a treat for one of my family members. My biggest save is buying certain items when they are buy one get one free. I stock up then. I know the sale cycle well enough now to stock up enough until the next buy one get one free. Those items are almost never bought for full price. Anyway, don’t feel less, you’re doing all that you can within the needs/wants of your family.
I believe she shops at a store that has lots of reduceditems and she buys 90% reduced items, rarely pays full price. I live in area that only have Food Lion or travel 8miles to Walmart which is expensive too. Good luck getting deals like she does.

Holy cow 400 a month for a family of 5?! I spend 200-300 for a week for my family of 4…that does include household items not just groceries
