I did it with the very first push. ogre creates bloodlust on gargoyle and earth elemental is targeted. safe pilot lands middle for chests and will automatically join to attack bottom. Cheat death secures last health. This happens before any troops can approach your base.
I don't have Dark Iron Miner so I used Quillboar instead. Almost serves the same purpose. But this is the second fail boat guide. Is not entirely the guides fault at this point though. My Gargoyle is still level 7. This dude mentioned in another guide he doesn't grind any. And I just done quests for 2 days straight and no where close to his levels. Especially on obscure units like the Gargoyle. I'm prob just going to grind a little and try again or see if there is another guide with a different strategy.
For the people complaining about Old Guardians Mini levels, freeze screen at around first minute and check his team. He did Dungeons previous week, giving him extra levels on his minis/leader(silver is +2 levels).

It starts with iron miner in the middle, then puts the 6 Infantry on top and huntress at the bottom r.i.p.
I used to rely heavily on the gargoyle good tip. Took 3 tries. Ty

Much better tip. all you need is Gargoyle, smoke bomb, Execute with bloodlust. Try to time it so the huntress doesn't get your gargoyle.

Thanks, i did it with Rend because he reduced the cost of the gargoyle, he melts the footmen and gets to charge at the huntress.

This fight wasnt so hard. The fight with the stone giant costed me like 20 retries...
