Scunthorpe United 'acquired land'

In May 2023 'Land Acquired by Scunthorpe United' signs were put up at two plots of land in Scunthorpe, one on Glebe Road, the other on Warren Road. Speculation grew as to what the land would be used for... a new stadium, car parking and training facilities.... However most fans thought it was just 'smoke & mirrors' being used by the maverick club owner David Hilton after weeks of disgruntlement from the club's supporters.
