Three cheers for experimentation! Don't let routine or perfection be the enemy of exploring and (most importantly) enjoying having a booktube channel. You did a great job speaking extemporaneously about a variety of books. Second the other comment about including covers of the books for reference. I got through Bloodlands on audio last summer while out running; definitely recommend it, although you might want to take a break after reading another heavy WWII-era history.
Enormously interesting - not only what you say about the books - but what it says about you as well. You do live up to your (self-imposed) eclectic- reader reputation! NB When you finish Agatha Christie, do try Ngaio Marsh (Final Curtain, Death in a White Tie, Black as He is Painted).
You commented briefly on the lessened quality of this non-scripted video, but I found your flow and eloquence smooth straight through. Your thinking is genuinely interesting! If anything is missing, I think it's just images of the books or holding them up (sometimes a cover does just enough to hold attention, at least it does for me). Otherwise, I greatly appreciate your deep engagement with what you read. That's always special to find.
Thanks for watching and for the very kind comment! Yes, some book images would be helpful and not at all hard to add next time -- I agree this goes a long way in adding some structure.
