As I'm in the UK we get the option of a 2143cc turbo diesel engine kicking out 500Nm of torque as standard. IMHO the SLC with any engine option is a rapid cruiser, but not a true sports car. I say that from the perspective of a guy who has owned kit cars weighing 325kg putting out 180bhp. that were a lot faster but nowhere near as luxurious as a well appointed as an SLC.. In short, purchase any SLC if you've grown out of thinking that tail slides are big & clever? 😃 I found it was time to move on to luxury over genuine performance & so far, the SLC hasn't disappointed 🙂
