I have a feeling the Furrier killed him, Since he pointed his gun at him and the Furrier Carried a Axe all the time and He died due to an Axe through his chest
Yeah, I think he planned to sell Todd to the Furrier to get money for medicine, but Molly convinced him not to. Furrier got mad and tried to steal Todd, almost getting shot for it. Then he came back after Molly's death & burial to try again(cause he couldn't catch them on his own again), and axe'd the Scavenger & took his rifle when he saw that Todd had been let go.

Also notice the Furrier didn't hover outside the den after the foxes got back after finding the Scavenger's body, even though she didn't do a distraction mark... Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm thinking the Furrier just became an even bigger threat.
My theory is that the scavanger wanted to have the pup and wait until it was big enough to sell his fur, similarly how he tried to hunt Mama Fox. I had the hope he will grow attached the pup and maybe use him as a hunting companion, but I'm happy Tod is back! Poor Molly though :( mama fox can relate what is like the pain to loose one of your children
So far this has been the most bittersweet slow burn ever Molly died scavenger died apparently his son died along with his wife( I didn’t even know he had a son) but I really do love this series and I can’t wait to see the ending of Endling
I feel quite bad for the scavenger, his only family member who survived, died. That gave him the sense that the mother fox felt when he stole her cub/pup/kit. I think he was giving up his hunting days, feeling the grief of Molly's death. It makes me feel very upset. The scavenger was trying his best to help Molly, himself, and Todd. But he realized, he probably wouldn't make it with Todd with him, so he returned Todd to Seri. Once the mother fox saw that the Scavenger was grieving. She decided to mourn with him, since Molly had shown them so much compassion. She nuzzled against the Scavenger cause she then understood he was doing all this, for her.
I abandoned everything I was doing as soon as I got the notification. Who knew a game about cute little foxes would be so emotionally grueling? Great episode as always; and I'm so happy that we finally found Todd! [Note: I nicknamed the mother fox Cecelia for no reason. I just got inspired from you to name the foxfam.]
Ngl- I didn’t really like the kit’s names so I pretended they were smth diffrent; the light grave one was cloud, the brown and white one was bramble, the sand-coloured one was rusty, and the one known as “Todd” was maple
When you find out that The Scavenger is not a bad guy at all. Just a man that was trying to help his daughter anyway he could. In the end Molly helped both Mama and her lost pup at the cost of her own lie as well as mama fox forgave the Scavenger for taking her pup and comforting him as well in his time of grief.
I don't normally comment but this was bugging me too much. I don't think seri realized the father/scavenger did not commit suicide... The axe that's buried in the man's chest belongs to the Furrier. He was obviously murdered... Also, she should of kept playing as the next episode will be extremely short since she's so close to the end. (Watched another playthrough). Love your videos Seri. Always watching from the shadows and you have inspired me to play these types of games. Starting with Niche. As well as was a WQ fan before I found you.
Yes thank you, I was searching to see if anyone else noticed this too. ESP since the axe is what the furrier has been carrying around the whole time. Also an edited note. The way it was placed in the scavenger was not an angle he could have done alone.

Wow you are SOOOOOO lucky that you were able to luck out with the trash when you did. You were also very lucky to find that chicken to buy you enough time or else your pup would have died. And to top it off the badger mom gave you a berry that filled you up again. It’s incredible how lucky you were to keep your pups alive this video.

Hello Seri! I have a theory of why the scavenger stole the fox cub! The theory is: Molly is sick (we all know that) and she loves foxes so the scavenger thought if he brought a fox cub to Molly, Molly would be happy and the sickness would be cured. (Wow that came out different than when I thought it)
The scavenger would trade it in after she was asleep on the night you got the scent where he traded it to get the medicine but it didn't work out as he planned it would, then Molly got more sick by the night/day then we get to where you are now (this was a addon to the theory but I didn't want to edit my comment)

Hi Seri-if you go back to where the furrier/scavenger’s house is (idk who’s it is lol) and jump up onto the place where the rats in the cage are, and walk to the end- one of your cubs will fall into the rat cage and learn a CUB SKILL :D its called hunt and it actually lets that cub be able to hunt if there is prey nearby. Super useful! ❤❤ But anyways keep up the epic work!! I love the Endling videos and I’m so sad that the game is almost done :’)

I actually kinda wanna see what happens when the owl spots one of your cubs. I can imagine the owl would swoop down and take Ember, while you, pounce on the owl and eat it. Just an idea.
I love this game and im excited for yet dread the finale...though i don't believe the scavenger ended his own life, it seems for some reason the furrier killed him (hence the weapon being the axe, and the scavenger did have a gun, i dont see why he wouldnt use that). Though i really felt so attached to every character, the scavenger and the mama fox are so alike, she most likely lost her mate some time and he took a kid from her, which sadly only after he loses his own, he gives it back.

I think mankind is globally good, an overwhelming majority of people just want nice things for themselves and those they love. But the few ones in charge are abusing everybody else, use their power to ruin everything that doesn't matter to them. Then as the world begins to go awry in multiple ways (economy, ecology, society), the rest of us folk begin to notice. When we start talking about that, they just find targets to pin the blame on, and incite us to fix those wrongs for them. We've seen it with plastic waste, chemical and atmospheric pollution, intensive agriculture, and probably much more.

When I woke up today, I was SOOO hungry! We went through the badger tunnel to the refugee camp where one of my siblings was going to die, but Mama found some apples for us to eat. I was still hungry though... Mama found out that the Molly fell down. I think Mama was really worried and maybe a little scared, because I think she liked Molly. Then Mama figured out that The Scavenger was going for help, but the employees turned him down. We went across a log bridge where we found the Scavenger burying Molly. I felt sad because Molly had given us food and help when humans had found us. I think Mama was really sad. He gave us back Todd, We were really scared when Mama went to the Scavenger, and we ran away, but Mama was fine. We went back to the Refugee Camp, where Mama gave us a bit of food. I was SOOO hungry!!! I..I got so hungry I couldn't walk anymore. Mama carried me, she said we were gonna get that chicken at Molly's Coop.
I feel like this game suffers from what TV Tropes calls "Too Bleak, Stopped Caring" because it's so ruthlessly sad and I know it's supposed to carry a message but like, jeeeeeez

Well nothing was posted for two days, which is very unlike Seri usually, so something may have been happening irl for her. That, and perhaps she just wants to wrap up Endling since we're right at the end of it now before going back to Stray. Just gotta be patient for these things

NOOOOOOO she was such a good character I tell you there’s no good game without a character dying ughhh my heart molly nooooo also seri was like oh that got surprisingly grime and I was like what so I skip back and then I see the scavenger dead and iv realized this game is cruel but seris play through is probably the best cause she never lost a fox kit and helped the baby badger and she’d so good at the shelter ones because she didn’t lose any of her Cubs or groups shes so awesome seri Is one of my favorite youtubers

When I woke up today, I was SOOO hungry! We went through the badger tunnel to the refugee camp where one of my siblings was going to die, but Mama found some apples for us to eat. I was still hungry though... Mama found out that the Molly fell down. I think Mama was really worried and maybe a little scared, because I think she liked Molly. Then Mama figured out that The Scavenger was going for help, but the employees turned him down. We went across a log bridge where we found the Scavenger burying Molly. I felt sad because Molly had given us food and help when humans had found us. I think Mama was really sad. He gave us back Todd, We were really scared when Mama went to the Scavenger, and we ran away, but Mama was fine. We went back to the Refugee Camp, where Mama gave us a bit of food. I was SOOO hungry!!! I..I got so hungry I couldn't walk anymore. Mama carried me, she said we were gonna get that chicken at Molly's Coop.
