Great update Ben! Love watching someone getting stuck into a 2CV. Learning a lot from your vids!

I've read comments and watched others have problems with those retainer springs. I just grip the caps with a pair of pliers and turn while pressing down on the spring. You do need to have a finger on the back of the pin but it's a 2 second job to remove. Point taken about the access from the back though.

youre horn is fitted at the bracket for the rod that holds youre bonnet open. but it is a nice 2cv and glad you did not put firestone tyres back on the 2cv ..those are the worst tyres for the 2cv .
    thumbs up!

    It’s mentionned « 2 CV4 »…
    But the engine isn’t a 2CV4 engine.
    Obviously, it’s a 2CV6 engine…
When I change to the 2CV6 engine, I also change the gearbox…to fit a disc brakes one.
    😢😢

Good video, those spring retainers you get today should go straight in the bin, as with many copy parts these days, complete rubbish! I always use the originals.

....1 think, they have disk front brake kits...FYI.
    2. think, the longest brake shoe, goes always in the back ?
    3. don't complain, cuz many ppl wish to have your cv2, including me.
