Very this. One of the most innately human things is the fear and experience of rejection, yet the majority of the time the rejection occurs because of reasons in their personal life you can’t even begin to comprehend - yet we all take it SO to heart and SO personally. If I knew where this guy was I would love to meet him again and make amends, we had only gone on a few dates but had incredible chemistry - but I “ghosted” him for 60 days after being sent to rehab without my newly confiscated phone. When I got back, I had a chain of texts from him about how excited he was, he doesn’t get what happened, and eventually degraded down to sadness to anger to blocking. How would he have possibly known what really happened, when he probably sat at home overanalyzing his perceived faults?
