really gripped me this because many years ago i qualified as a NHS paramedic instructor and you had to prepare and deliver while under strict timing of sessions, and submit a lesson plan that had to be adhered to. i know exactly what Simon went through when he was monitored and de briefed. well done to him.
This seems like it's made for tv, but I'm impressed by the: lack of repetition, it's decently gripping story line, and it's focus on {even though it's biased} history. I watch historical stuff as much as possible, but this was far superior to stuff I usually see. Thank you for not talking down to me.
I'd suggest some additional tourist touchable items. Maybe they can operate a guillotine (glass in the blade), hand crank a coin operated penny press and fire a musket (blank). The tower ice rink can fulfill a royal mandate that all population practice the long bow. A photo would provide a take home souvenir from the tower commemorating historical functions of the castle. This could give the wives something to do besides complaining.
The name of the Chapel translates as St Peter In Chains ⛓there's another one in Italy in Satan's City, that one is a Library/Archive now and the Burial Ground within the Courtyard was used for Satanism/Witchcraft in the 1970's, so they Exhumed most of the Dead and reburied them in a more secure location, although there is some Graves in the Burial Ground but they're under the Walk Way and inaccessible. A really good Documentary on a great Subject...
NOT A PRISON they stress this every time you take the tour it was not a prison it was a palace first and formost and would house the occasional prisoner in its dungeon
Pretty sure Tower of London is not oldest British Tourists attraction, take stonehenge for tourist attractions, I mean only a few thousand years different (insert a very british sense of scale here). Tower of London it is intriguing and started its creation modern day (post Harold) with Normans, but then there is a wall that surrounds (can be seen from places) that dates back to Roman times some 900-1000 years earlier, etc , etc. facts are facts embellishments are lies, we live in time we need to call them out. All of us from around the world.
I watched Simon's tour on another video, and it was very much against marriage and he talked a lot about being nagged. I can totally see why. Seriously, if she wants to live somewhere else, maybe she should get a better job and buy her own house. Until then, I'm pretty sure he's taking the job at least partly for the money.
I saw this years ago and was looking for it and FINALLY here it is!
I love this series! Thank you! 👍💂🏰👑❤

I'm pretty sure Simon was my tour guide the first time I visited the Tower. He was fabulous.
Its it surreal then to see how he became your yeoman warder tour guide???
Loving these videoes and the don't mess with the guards videoes to people crazy they need to leave poor guards alone.
Greetings from Den Haag, Netherlands. I really loved watching this, thank you very much!
47:47 Gotta love the british TV humor... "Thank you, my love." he says as they show a young, short skirted tourist hanging on his arm :D
The object between the joists behind the white pannel is a ship beam spacer to prevent warpage. It also makes a wonder uniform hanger.
As someone ( Guardsman)who has done the challenge more than once,I can tell you,it’s a great ceremony, but you need to get an invite..
Love this
Oh this was good.
love the belly laugh from both at about 35.00. shows love in action
Him driving around practicing his part, other drivers looking at him like he was nuts.

I remember yeoman Warner mike boscot in the early part of this video at H M TOWER OF LONDON
Pauline sitting in Your Garden getting pissed and offering unsolicited Advice is not the Best way to go !
18:10 It's a cunning plan, Blackadder!

I couldn't believe that bloke's wife couldn't understand left and right from the audience's point of view. :/
Matthew McVeagh I'm sure she was just taking the piss.
Wonder when these were made? She says she likes to do her food shopping on the internet...

The last ones to be held there as prisoners were the Kray twins.
Famous prisoners
They let children swim in that nasty murky water 🤢
I wonder if he got his job back after they were all canned during covid
Simon's wife is a bit annoying. Should be more supportive.

It wasn't British, definitely not when built!
Stonehenge ain't that special whatsoever, you can see it on the nearby A Road so no need to stop.
The Tower is 99% more interesting
The Nazi parade uniforms looked way way nicer! Just like the British to overspend and still look silly😂

I stopped watching when he mentioned Nelson Mandela who is a murderer and terrorist.
Facts are facts - you don't have to like them but they are still facts. Mandela did kill people and cause terror for political purposes.
He did organise. One mans terrorist another mans freedom fighter
@@ashleybevis9769 And in the case of Nelson and Winnie Mandela they are both Communist Murdering Terrorists.
And who tf is madonna? The black snake charmer 😂
