I had a cat and a rabbit that were best friends. They were like these two. Believe it or not the rabbit chased a rogue cat out of the yard and up a tree to protect his best friend. When the rabbit died the cat grieved for months just like a person, we thought she would grieve herself to death but after about 6 months she finally started pulling out of it. God’s creatures are amazing. The rabbit would come on the porch and make the food bowl spin when he was ready to eat then lie down and take a siesta every day. We still miss him.

I've had 2 cats and one rabbit. They all slept together. And groomed each other. Bunny had her own litter box. Zoomies with a cat and a rabbit can be excelerating. Oooff...right in the old bread basket. 😁

Their ears are the closest thing to language for them. Besides some extreme vocalizations, you never want to hear, their whole language, which is quite complex, is based mainly on their ears stance. They're also independently controlled and each on their own gimbals and they can use them stereoscopically. Thus, separating left from right inputs. Very used when you also have very precise stereoscopic vision. Their eye positions give them enormous depth of vision and a finely tuned eye for changes and movement. Just don't hide things right in front of their nose. The only place they can't see. They need their noses to find food they have their faces buried in because it's not in their field of vision.
