Could someone tell me how you can develop the ability to understand spoken French and differentiate its words, which often seem to blend together or are so short they're hard to pick up? I love French but this is one of the hardest things for me.

It's just a matter of time, practice, and exercising your ears. When I started learning English, I wasn't able to differentiate the words when I heard them. Same thing in French. I'm still a beginner in French, but I can understand more today than a year ago.
@@sgapodaca I have been trying for 31 years. I am also fluent in italian. I do not know if this helps or not. It may not. Is there any way to get there without living in France?

I find English subtitles more a distraction than a help. Listening to French and reading the subtitles in French has been more effective for me.

Je pense pas que ce soit une bonne idée d'inclure ceux qui ne parlent pas correctement la langue (même au niveau de la syntaxe) dans une série qui vise l'apprentissage de la langue.

I don't think you should include English speaking people in French episode. It is a short segment as it is and i don't want to listen someone speaking English. There is Easy English for this.
Very true.
Beta Vulgaris true but then you'll know how to listen to a foreigner as well as someone who's native. Not everyone's gonna speak perfectly. I think it brings a nice mix.
I read the French subtitles when they speak English. Helps with comprehension
