Ankita Joshi is an excellent Indian classical vocalist. In my free time I frequently listen to her renditions. Listening to her and other young talented vocalists like Nirali Kartik, Kaushki Chakarbarty and Swani Shinde Sathe one is quite optimistic that the great Indian Classical music would flourish far and wide. My thanks are due to Ankita and all those who helped organize the event.
Ankita has taken the audience to a picnic spot among the stars. wah!
Marwa is a difficult rag to sing because there is no pancham. Surs are very limited. One can easily go off sur. It is one of the thats in Hindustani classical music. Only an experienced singer can handle such a rag. Ankitaji has done a wonderful job rendering this difficult rag.

raag puriya comes from thaat marwa. Marwa is also a rag. Both are difficult rags to handle. Only experienced singers or musicians can skillfully render such rags and it takes years of learning and practice. Ankitha Joshi has done a wonderful job with rag puriya.

EXCELLENT....What a performance .I have heard such Marwa only from the GREATS. At a young age she is showing so much potential that it gives great pleasure to know that the Hindustani classical music will continue to spread its spleandour in the hands of yougsters like her.

She's great, but why does "Art & Artist", whoever they are, insult her and us by blocking the screen with their crappy ads for other performances; what's wrong with letting us enjoy this one unobstructed. Her refined sensibility is marred by their gross ambition.
