The some kinda A=F#m, B=G#m, C=Am, D=Bm, E=C#m, F=Dm, G=Em!
RELATIVE right. Circle of 5ths
Thanks for the post. Why was the chord shape changed between the F & G and C#m to Dm. Keeping the shape consistent would be easier for your beginner audience to understand.
I don't see the point of this, for peoples learning this would be really confusing. None of the chords are outlined in regards to what key they are in. A major and B major would be in E but alot of the other chords are irrelevant if that's the case. They are not diatonically connected. Placing chords in an alphabet system makes no sense
It kind of does. People new to music will see things very organized this way. It helps them, also, that's literally how notes are organized in music.
Most people learn chords randomly, so learning them in an alphabetical structured format must be a good thing.
@@LogicalBeatssbut like why C#m instead of just Cm?
@@cerealdude890 because C#m is a different chord than Cm? Idk what you're getting at here
@@LogicalBeatss Sorry you’re so confused… All of the majors were natural, where does the sharp come from for 3 of the minor chords?
That’s easy to remember! Thanks!
Thank you from India 🇮🇳
In Poland we don't have B chords or notes we have H 😂
I don't see any connection between C major and C# minor...how are they similar? How are they similar if they don't share any notes? Or am I reading this wrong? I imagine every dot is where you place a finger, correct? _This is why my friend plays rhythm and I sing and play solos!_ Everything I know is what I've learned by playing by ear.
Also, can you play an A major chord with one finger, B major with two?
BTW, I have an uncle who is amazing at playing classical guitar. He is truly gifted. (I get my musical acumen from my father's side and learned to play the trumpet, baritone and trombone in elementary through HS band) But, my uncle has absolutely zero patience and if I ask one question he goes ballistic. He just yells "watch me and do what I do"! And shakes his crooked finger at me! LOL! But I want to know WHY he does what he does! _I want to know how to play a note and create a chord around that note. That's what I would really like to learn._
What's major ?
Which fred?
Please give me the chart of the chords
If this helps that's a very hard way of learning guitar. If you learn basic shapes then bar chords and stuff in order and learn basic theory and the fret board notes, you can play the same chords a bunch of diffrent ways amd it gives you a very large musical palet to pull from to maximize creativity. Hope this helps!

So what? Useless lesson
Having studied your excellent chord course & PDFs, it would be fantastic if you could create a link to the original upload for generating new subs. YT Shorts is a great way to gently introduce potential punters to this amazing resource. 👍
Thank for the feedback and suggestion! That's a great idea! 🙏
Wtf????
Why have the sharps in the minor chords? There is a Cm, Fm and Gm chords....????
Is that F#m and G#m same thing
Same physical shape, yes.
F#m and Gbm is the same chord!
file under:- waste of time
This is when I was experimenting with how to make shorts - and since have abandoned making them - I'm focused on weekly long-form lessons. My longer videos are in-depth and detailed and results oriented. I totally understand your disappointment. The weirdest thing is that TH-cam just picked up this video to put in front of people for whatever reason 🤷♂️. Maybe because it gets a negative reaction haha.
Hi Jared, thanks for the patient answer and explanation. As it happens I came across your channel maybe a week after writing the above, and subbed and got the PDF on jazz chords without using the 5th! You do a great job, and thanks a lot for that.
This short is not representative, but somehow .. it struck a chord (in an algorithm somewhere). Cheers.@@soundguitar
What was the point of this video?
As a beginner I’m completely confused 😮
me too
And you should be. The video doesn’t explain anything.
Omg youve just explained to my adhd mind in such an easier way ❤❤life saver
Beginner here: how do we know which fret to play it on?
La, Si, Do Ré, Mi Fa Sol :)
Good, but like you to play them.
Essy chords if csn do bar chords. ❤
Thanks
thanks!!
Does this guy actually think he’s telling us anything?
He litterally is
Wow this looks interesting. Thanks.😃👍❤️
Why do you have C#m, F#m and G#m?
why insert the sharps in the minor chords? Thqt's probably confusing to someone new to chords...
How about Am, Cm, Dm, Fm, Gm, A#, C#, D#, F#, and G#? Plus all the flat chords, major and minor..
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 thank you
Informative. Thanks:)
Wow. So smart 🙄
I don't understand why these major and minor chords were chosen? there's no Bflat? which is most common key for a blues. Seems like these are kind of random, but maybe I am missing something!
Is it just me but it’s such a struggle I’m not a good learner by just listening to someone I need someone to physically teach me but I’m an extremely shy person so I’m basically suck 😭😭
Since no one has answered yet. Its the major scale. The key youre playing in.
For example, the C major scale, Which goes C D E F G A B. Thats why its the easiest too. The 1st 3rd and 5th note makes up the major in that key. The 2nd 4th and 6th make up the minor in that key.
I can’t move my pinky
why did you choose these chords, like c#m is the same shape as cm just a fret down? genuinely curious trying to learn no hate 🙏🏻
This is really Great information and lesson.👍 .
Bm and c#m are the same?
same shape yes
C#m and Dbm are the same!
Cbm and Bm are the same!
How do you play an F chord. I’ve been searching for an hour and can’t find it. The picture doesn’t quite help me understand how to play it
same as E but bar the first fret
Thank you so much❤👍
This is easy to follow thank you sir for your clear teaching about basic gautar
Where can i get this chart
I think it is better to show people where in that shape the root, the third and fifth are located because then they can manipulate the third to make major minor, alter it with a #5, the list goes on...
I agree 100%
Thanks For sharing
Hey man thanks for the lessons, dont listen to the people who are saying this is useless. This can be useful for alot of beginners! ❤
