Plus Aretha used a lot to interact with the background singers (gospel style), so to spare her voice and make high notes when she felt up to, with all the time to take breath and alternate rest, Dionne did it all alone, with no shouting, no gasping breaths and a tasty use of mixed voice (listen to the crystal-clear diction of chorus starting with those difficult D4)...and that beautiful finale D6 A5 in easy and free head voice!!!
