Thanks for taking the time to do a video on it. I don't have any time in a Kubota ran most of the other brands and when I bought mine a few years ago I ended up with a bobcat.
I run one almost daily, they are the noisiest rough riding rattle box things ever. Nothing about them is built for comfort. But they will move a lot of dirt and push like a dozer.
Obviously you haven't operated a bobcat r series. Quieter cab , larger cab , 5 link suspension doesn't tip like cat when grading. I agree kubota is a rattle box. Great video
I have been in a few bobcats and I do like them. Caterpillar is the only skid steer that we have owned. We started with a 277 and have had three 289d3 since. They will all get the job done just don’t put me in a Takeuchi 😆
No sound reduction package available. Bobcat r series and cat machines have one peice cab that's why so quiet. I have bobcat t66 you can talk on factory bluetooth while operating.
I liked the kubota overall. It seems like a really solid machine. I just wish it wasn’t so loud. If I was going to run it all day I would probably have to use ear plugs.
@@mattlake2 the bucket was not full, I am a fan of Kubota but did it lack power? I run a bobcat 773 and it will load the bucket to running over the bucket did not tilt to vertical in the dump. You were trying kick the dirt off. That is a much bigger machine than 773 dirt was in great shape. What is wrong with the Kubota?
It had plenty of power. I wasn’t mounding the bucket just so the dirt wasn’t spilling out. That was as far as the bucket would dump it’s similar to our caterpillar in that aspect.
The kubota AC works well it’s just not icy cold like our cat

They are nice machines just lack the comfort of some other brands.
There is no sound reduction package, kubota-2 machines loudest on the market. Just purchased svl75-3 total opposite, 1 piece cab
👍
I purchased a svl97-2 as well really loud in cab but machine has a ton of power great
Video 👍
Thanks Robert

Built like a Takeuchi. Not a lot of comfort but definitely will get the job done.
Gave you sub from upstate New York
Thanks we are from north east Missouri
There has been talk that Kubota is coming out with a one piece cab for the 97-2.
I haven’t heard that but I have heard from our cat dealer that they are also coming out with a new design.
@@mattlake2 The 97-2 is going to have the same upgrades as the 75-3 which are awesome.
👍
Why half buckets
Maybe 3/4 buckets 😆

I like your review. I am new here where are you from?
Thanks we are from just outside of Hannibal Missouri
I let DirtBoss know you mentioned him and sent him the link to this video.
When it's loud it's got power where I'm from Kubota are poplar.
This machine definitely has plenty of power. Lots of bobcats and Takeuchi around us with a couple kubota’s and cat’s here and there.
Bucket does not tip far enough, too much time to load with a machine that size
It was all we had to load with. With the number of loads it was easier to use than hauling a piece of equipment all the way out there.

@@mattlake2 ok i got that! Can you tell me what the max lift the unit is rated for and what it will really lift?
I’m not sure about that. This was the first and last time I’ve ran this machine.
The only one that rides better is a cat . Cats cab is definitely quieter also. However cats are down twice a week or more. Bobcats cab is much louder.
Knock on wood, we have had decent luck with this 289
