This most beautiful thing I have heard in my life.....next to hearing my daughters first cry when she was born. I just purchased a handpan and I can't wait for it to arrive and start learning and hope one day I can make beautiful music like this.
you should call the first of the two songs without a name. “The Nameless One” It has a mysterious adventurous sound to the composition. And it gives me a thought of a mysterious adventurer strong yet agile going through a mysterious place/forest/cavern full of vegetation with light peaking through every once in a while. Those are the thoughts when hearing the first piece that entered my head as I listened. Beautiful and fun! Thank you!
Wonderful music and a fantastic concert! I'm sorry I missed it when it first came out, but am glad that it's here for the world to continue to hear and relive, again and again! Thank you so much for bringing your talents, and friends, to the world! We are grateful!!! :)
Great watching this live... Amazing performance. Thanks for putting on TH-cam as well. Easier for me to add to my playlists to listen again. In fact im putting it on now for third time.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Ps Dark Red butterfly is so good. The way it starts so deep and enchanting before then opening up to full-on wings flapping 🦋🦋🦋
Thanks, glad to hear that you enjoy it! I wasn't sure if it was gonna make it onto my next album, but after the feedback from the concert, I think it will! ;)
@@DavidKuckhermann 100% David. Ive already been looking online for studio version lol. Really good. Would love to see it make the album. What instrument is that? The maker has got these tones sounding so good.
Wow! Thank you David! This is my first introduction to your music! So relaxing in these crazy times...The duet with Milena is amazing! I just realized you have some tips videos out... 2nd nameless piece sounds like going home to me.... and yes my el cheapo pan does play, we've birthed a few rudimentary pieces of music, but nothing like your decade plus of hardcore dedication have produced. but I bet I could challenge you for broadest, flip-top headed, smile when playing though! WHAAAAAAAAAAAT?!? DOUBLE SIDED PAN??????????????
Hi there, wonderful video, thank you. I'm a follower of your Friday lessons - not doing to badly lots of practice going on at the moment, but may I ask about the double sided handpan you played in The Old Sea, it was mind blowing, what make is it? And how do the re tune it? Last point your last song was so relaxing, slow simple melody with beautiful harmonies and cross rhythms. I could listen to it all day. Thank you.
Thanks Philip :), The doublesider is a Yishama Pantam by Yhonathan Ale-Yahav. It is retuned without opening just from one side, which is not an easy task. When it needs major retuning work, it would be opened and re-glued, but it keeps tuning very well.
Thank you David for that wonderful music, you mastered the instrument it is really impressive ! can i ask which scale you are using in Prelude n°1 please ?
Amazing!!!! I'd like to ask. For a musician like a pianist who would like to have all 12 notes on a handpan is there any handpan or two of them who played together have all 12 diatonal notes????
