A masterpiece. Thank you. It's so specific that it's actually sad how many isekai fit this description.

Yah but somehow they still enjoyable LOL i don't what the secret behind this genre that makes it never get old

@@AruReviews Yeah, some of the tropes are enjoyable but they are also often not really executed well and most modern isekai only end up as very surface-level stories that don't really try to go deep into any kind of theme and just exist for the harem and the power fantasy. Once the humor of the one specific gimic of the story has worn off, it often just becomes boring. Fortunately, there are still some competent writers for isekai out there.

Who cares if its generic as lo g as you enjoy it no need to think about the negatives

@@AruReviews What can I say? They're a guilty pleasure. But I think it's why I got on with Overlord so much. It uses the tropes but also bypasses a lot of them by having him an OP villain who smashes good people into paste... on the way to building a better world.

    • @primalknight

i think generic is stitching tropes together. overlord actually makes a coherent story instead of just mishmashing the tropes. an analogy i can think of is an essay. some lazy fucks just copy paste different sentences from websites and putting it together without any editing, some less lazy fucks do the exact same but fixes the grammars and spelling. then a good essay is one that takes all of data from articles and websites, taking important points, and reiterating it in their own way

Good thing that there are some proper isekais like Slime, Re: Zero, Shield Hero, No Game No Life and etc. They keep the genre alive

It definitely fits almost every Isekai though, 😭😂. It's just only male Isekai, not female's😂.......but even though there's an isekai and the author is good at describing the storyline as well as characters that kind of manhwas never become old.

@@AruReviews oh it's okay because I heard some people saying that some author wanted to spice things up in their isekai is they add a twist which is usually kind of dark so I won't be surprised if there's a isekai light novel that have the mc getting betrayed midway. If yall have any recommendations of such light novel tell me please.
