- Riding Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Rail Red Line from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Station (ATL) to Buckhead, via Downtown Atlanta and Midtown Atlanta. This journey starts at ATL Airport. The train passes by Downtown and Midtown Atlanta. I get off at Buckhead Station in Buckhead (north of Downtown Atlanta).
For more information about traveling between ATL Airport and Downtown/Midtown Atlanta, checkout my blog at: houexplorer.com/2023/03/01/ma...
Gold and Red Lines starts at ATL Airport Station and goes to Downtown Atlanta and Midtown. After passing Midtown, Gold Line splits to Doraville and Red Line goes to Buckhead/North Spring. In addition, Red Line only serves between the Airport Station to Downtown/Midtown Atlanta between morning to 9pm. After 9pm, Gold Line only goes to the airport.
In my opinion, taking MARTA Rail to/from the airport is the best option! The train is fast and cheap.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ATLANTA AND HOUSTON ⭐️:
Did you know that Houston METRO was suppose to have this type of MARTA Rail System (and it's design concept) in the 1970s-1980s. Since the idea was rejected, all rail funding went to Dallas and Atlanta.
Also, Buckhead Atlanta is similar as River Oaks Houston.

The English announcer is always so calm and collected. The Spanish one sounds like she is running out of a burning building.
What happened to the original announcer. The one that used to say. If you see something, say something
Lol, that is true 😂
Awesome! I have lived in both Atlanta and Houston and rode MARTA on a daily basis to get to and from work. I know this route very well.
HA HA, I'm from Houston and when I move to Atlanta i fell in love with MARTA. Living back in texas now in Dallas. DART is a much more extensive system. I took MARTA to work, gym and evey where else. Do I know you? Wya now?
Ya marta rules
How did you ride MARTA in Houston???
I take Marta every day it’s very affordable my bus and train is always on time it get my to work and back
I really love MARTA with a passion especially the buses, trains and streetcars.
What other rides does Marta have? I'm curious lol
@@natashathomas1346 He’s being sarcastic, that’s all Marta has
My ole home and Marta for 15 yeas. I see the train pass by my ole apartment complex. Good job.
I had a great ride. It was convenient and fast.
The Marta Trains has the same MITRAC Motors from the MTA NYC Subway Trains. R142A, R188, and R143.
This was dope thanks for uploading! I'm going to Atlanta for the first time this month I'll definitely be taking marta to downtown from the airport! Looks super easy!
I've been waiting for good MARTA footage, thank you.
Thank you. I used MARTA when I lived in Atlanta about 10 years ago and I’m visiting there again this week. It’s nice to see where I should go from airport before I get there. I will be taking the red line as well to get to Peachtree Center. 😊
That was the best video my son love’s Marta trains my son said update more Marta train videos please
Awesome and thank you. Will do, there will more MARTA's videos coming up!
I love to watch the train leave when you get out! Thank you for this!
This is a big help for me since I will be using the train for the first time after traveling from out of state. Thank you.
Thank you for a fantastic video. I am a frequent rider on Marta and I love how you promote the service. I also learned how to get to the Dwarf House. New subbie
MARTA seems cooler than I realized! I used to go to Atlanta for work several times a year and realize now that I missed out on using the system when I had the chance. It's not surprising given their linked history of construction from the mid-20th Century, but I am struck at the similarities between MARTA and DC's Metro. Their rolling stock in particular is remarkably similar, and the ATL station could almost pass for one of DC Metro's elevated stations at a glance
WMATA and MARTA (as well as BART) all run on the same tech and principle: an automated hybrid regional rail and subway. People a lot about where it doesn’t go, but 99% of that is suburbia. In its service area the system connects via bus and rail every major business district, the highest densely populated area in all of Georgia, every university and school, entertainment district, and sporting venue in Fulton and DeKalb county and it all terminates at the world’s busiest airport. It’s a remarkable system that doesn’t get enough good press.
I swear its like talking to a mirror I do the EXACT SAME THING
@@tarik158 MARTA is pretty cool, but the press against it usually comes from suburbanites who either don't want to pay extra taxes for what they see as a vanity project for the poor, or don't want lower income riders to lower their property values. While I'd like more heavy rail lines / extensions (especially to Marietta), MARTA is taking steps to advertise its system to unaware or weary residents by modernizing its rolling stock, revitalizing the Five Points station and Downtown, and building light rail lines alongside the Beltline Trail that act as a ring line that connects to new and existing heavy rail stations en route. Local Busses and BRT could be useful for suburbs, but more lanes need to be dedicated to HOVs because suburban traffic in Atlanta is also just as bad.
Love this.
MARTA trains are so cool.
I wish DART used these or at least the R211s in Newyork.
By the way, will you ever be able to do a New York video in the future?
MARTA's trains are great...I'm going to miss them after 2026. You heard that MARTA is going to replace them with Stadler trains (itsmarta.com/yourride.aspx). I'm planning to do NYC soon (trying to figure out the schedule).
@@HOUExplorer Are you planning to come to Toronto, Canada to do a video on its subways?
You’ve read my mind. I’m planning to visit Montreal and Toronto soon.
It's always been a lifelong dream of mine to one day ride MARTA...now, I can live just a little bit of that dream. Thank you.
1:53 the MARTA train already sounds too familiar
Yup. NYCT's R142A, R143, and R188.
I love Marta I take it everyday in Atlanta in the city all over you don’t gotta have a a car you got Marta
Wow very great video!
Thank you.
Wow! The MARTA trains are really starting to show their age!
The entire fleet of trains will be completely replaced by 2025 The cars are being built in Hungary now to complete Marta specifications. I was on a volunteer Council with Marta for 2 years and my team helped design the new trains . They will be fabulous!
@@susanbrazeal1275 Awesome!
@@susanbrazeal1275 9:16 That new train will be a Stadler. But I don't know what the model will be.
man i'm gonna miss the older marta railcars The CQ310s, 311s, and 312s. I liked the way they looked and how they sounded. I really wish they could be in service forever. I have mixed emotions about the newer cars, the CQ400s. they don't look nothing like marta at all More like a NYC subway car design.
Great Video Man! Have a nice weekend near Florida! Greetings from Pembroke Pines, Florida! 😎🌄🌇🌆🌅
Thanks man! I missed Florida but will return to the sunshine state soon!
Madea's house used for Tyler Perry's movies is just down Avon Ave around the 13:00 ‐ 13:05 mark

No, this is the US
MARTHA is comfortable and easy to get direction. I love it. I've been there 2001 long time ago i was worked at Concourse B become sandwich maker. I miss so much. AMERICA is Beautifull
I’ve been to BUCKHEAD MARTA Station before!
Nice
I mean you still could have went to Lindbergh Station on the Doraville train and transfer for North Springs train
MARTA’s trains sound just like the R142A, R143 and R188 all from MTA NYCT
The same ac traction motor from the r142a r188 subway cars from the 4 and 7 trains in nyc
All of the marta trains have the r142a sounds
It was same as the nyc subway,r142a,r143,and r188
A 14 mm lens would be perfect for the terminal shots.
Reminds me of BART
I think it's because both systems were constructed in the 70s. DC metro is kinda like this as well
OMFG SO THE CQ310s SOUND EXACTLY LIKE THE L TRAIN (R-143s) HERE IN NYC 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I CANT BELIEVE IT
All the CQ310s, CQ311s and 312s have the same propulsion that's why they sound the same. and not every propulsion is exclusive to the mta
25:00 we got some drama in the background
I can’t believe how inconsiderate people are of others. I love trains and think public transit is great for society but at least in my own car i don’t have listen to all that language. People should respect public spaces more.
Outkast: Andre 3000: well me and my ----- took the marta though the hood to find and catch that hook
Outkast - evevators?
You should come out to Phoenix.
I soon will!
It sounds like the r142a
Marta cq312 is the coolest train
My favorite in the CQ311. I find the CQ312 to be very noisy and not as smooth on the tracks but they do look nice.
Do we know who is the voice behind the English announcements? Such a soothing voice!
