@@GearGasmsDoh, I commented on it a year ago haha. How do you like the Iconic versus your new EVH amp. I changed the Iconic speaker to a Neo Creamback and it’s so good
I have an Orange Micro Dark. Thinking of going with this 5150 combo. I like the clean channel and I really only play EVH style stuff on electric. Seems like a good fit for me.
The problem I am encountering is one cannot access the Overdrive on Channel 1 in a live setting. You cannot go from clean on Channel 1 and then use the footswitch to go into Overdrive on Channel 1.
You’ve got sort of a Walton Goggins voice and humor thing goin’-that’s a compliment. [Vice Principals, The Righteous Gemstones….] You’re from Delaware? I grew up there but don’t remember that accent. // Looking forward to getting this amp in a few days-well, oddly, it’ll be this or a Princeton or Deluxe Reverb…. Depends on which one makes it move….
Found it funny that a lot of dorks passed the Iconic off as a cheap piece of shit before even hearing it..🤣🤣 prefer the head into a 2x12 or 4x12, but the combo is no slouch for sure Great vid Mr B🤘🤘🤘
I got it at Earthbound Trading Company. I got two but it’s poor design that eats batteries so I wired in ac adapters that I already had so they will stay lit. They are killer!
@@parkkingery9216 I love the green channel, I wish they would make a pedal to switch from clean to crunch to distortion!!! Like we literally just need one more button!!!! I really hope they come out with one. I got a KMA Pylon for the noise gate running in front and behind the amp and it's amazing because this is definitely a noisy noisy amp.
How much fun was undoing the 15 screws on the back? I wanted to get some speaker shots for b-roll but didn’t want to unbutton the whole thing. Is the work pretty clean inside?
@@Smart-Alex which creamback did you get? (Watts wise) I was looking at that, the Reaper and the DV-77. I feel like the creamback would give the best cleans and low ends for thick distortion but I was looking at the 90 watt but was scared that was too heavy of a watt for a 40 watt amp. Thanks duder
Damn that spaulty!!! Mmmm 😋 beautiful guitar. I need a buddy to lone me some gear… Yoshitada Hoshino I’m looking at you Sir Ibanez know what I’m thinking about.

I love this amp. Sold my Marshall in favor of it!
PS: how’s the 2016 Les Paul doing?
Cool! Yeah it’s very wide ranging!
Doing great!

I do these things so fast sometimes that I almost would have to watch this video to remember. I do recall liking it a lot
i picked this exact one up from Earle Teat this past week. They are stand up guys. It's a great amp too!
That is so awesome!!!! Thanks for coming back and sharing that! Also tell us about that boost!!

It’s surprisingly capable of a wide range of things!
🤣 as always. You are bang on about the vox thing 👍
Oh man I’m glad someone else heard it!!!
I just bought the Spalted Maple Wolfgang. I absolutely love it.
Nice! Isn’t is sick!? Welcome to the family!
I liked most of the features of the amp, maybe not enough to buy, but yes cleans were better than I expected.
Yeah that was an instant surprise but nice! Happy Friday neighbor!
an honest quality review Alan
Thanks brother G!

That sucks! I wonder if there is a mod?

Lol - that’s funny! No I’m in Salisbury MD just below the line. Shorebilly country!
@@GearGasms Ahhh. My parents are from Murrrlin.
Fun videos. I’m going to take some time to go through your back catalog!
Thanks neighbor!

Great vid Mr B🤘🤘🤘
Yeah I think people just line up to say the same thing others say without trying one
Cool video , rad amp... so torn between this and the Orange ad30 , want both ..
Wow those seem like way different flavors to me?
@@GearGasms oh for sure , so get both 🤣
Yeah that is the spirit!
Is the clean/overdrive setting on Channel 1 footswitcheble?
I didn’t have the footswitch so I don’t know but I’m sure it’s on the website
A match made in heaven! Great review - what is that skull on top of the amp? Love it!

Let it fly!!!
Before you returned them did you sign them, so they could sell them for a lot more?
Lol - not at this point!
it's a great amp, I love head version
Yeah I wish I’d had time in the video to hit the green channel with pedals!
@@GearGasms it takes pedals well, the green channel is the star of that amp
I thought so too!

I had high hopes for this amp, but for some reason it just didn’t do it for me. Great video though. Have a great weekend.
It’s a chug monster no doubt but I’m a little old for the heavy downtune stuff. It kills for that and I didn’t get to try dirt pedals on channel one
Change the speaker. Mine has a Celestion neo Creamback vs the cheap one in it. It totally KILLS now, the green (clean) channel is my favorite

@@GearGasms actually very clean indeed. All these TH-camrs (not you) mocked this amp before they even used it and don’t realize how great it is!

Yeah it’s mean looking! I’d play Mean Streets on it if I could!
Price tags, always show them, gain subs, JMHO LOL
Yeah I need to Minnie Pearl this thing! 🤓
